Isn't it our god given right to kill whoever invades the privacy of our home?

Anyways, I'm buying a katana soon, so maybe I get to do awesome stuff like this too :D

29 prior arrests? Sounds like the student did everyone a service.
29 prior arrests? Sounds like the guy should have never been released. Here we are trying/have implemented a 3 strikes law where if you commit 3 felonies you get life.

Ye gods, I knew everything was legal somewhere but I really didn't expect it to be legal to run someone through with a blade.

Looks like its time to invest in a sword and move to Maryland.

Bravo to the college kid, that scum got what he deserved.
I certainly hope the poor guy isn't charged with anything, it was self defense if the guy lunged at him.

That guy must have been pretty thick if he lunged at a guy that had a very long, sharp, and pointy sword. I think I would be more scared of that than a gun.
maybe it was really dark?

my first thought upon seeing someone armed with a sword would have been "fuck, I picked the wrong place to rob"
You're right; the robber really screwed himself over, lunging at someone holding a katana. He did know those things are designed to slice through flesh, sinew, and bone, right?

I reckon thats a fair cop, personally I think he was well within his rights to defend himself and his property, the guys death was unfortunate though. Plus if someone had broken into my house and lunged for me I would have beat them with whatever was at hand. If they died, well thats really their fault isn't it, shouldn't have broken into my house and tried to attack me. Wouldn't anyone try to defend themselves?
