Colombia may be experiencing significant voter fraud against the leftwing candidate.

Colombia is electing their new president today, and it's a tight race between a right-wing businessman "populist" and a left-wing economist, politician, and popular figure. But the Colombian right seems to be trying to sabotage the whole election, one that they've disallowed international observers from watching.

So in other world a Trump wanabe is going to get installed as Columbia's president against the wishes of the people who live in Colombia.

I await the furious denunciation from Western media at this corruption of democracy, like they were so quickly onto Venezuala and Bolivia.

Well apparently the right's machinations haven't paid off.
Thank fuck for that.

There's a lot to be hopeful for in Petro's manifesto, not least of which being the commitment to end fossil fuel exploration.

I think you meant "Colombia".
Oddly enough I managed to get it right in 1 out of the 3 times I wrote it :V

And now to wonder how wide the margin actually was.

And now to wonder how wide the margin actually was.
It was 50.5% to 47.3% (of valid votes), officially.

From a quick check comparing against the last three elections, blank votes were lower (2.2% instead of ~4% in previous elections), and invalid votes also down (1.3% compared to 1.8 - 3%). This suggests that the problems detailed in the OP may have actually have been very scarce or mild.
