When I was younger I came across a mind trick that worked with stunning accuracy. But before we can go further please solve these basic math equations:

If I remember this one rightly, before you were asked to name a tool and colour the asker went on a short but slightly rambling monologue about something vaguely related.

I can't remember it's name but it's a well known mind fuck trick that works around the power of suuggestion, there is a lead into the question that subtly 'places' the idea of a blue hammer into your head.

It's a freaking clever trick but the point of it is to show how humans can have their thinking and decision making influenced in extremely subtle ways.

Can anyone smarter than me remember the name of the trick, it's gone from my head! Also, Gunmetal Airjack.

I saw this trick done to someone several years ago, so I already knew not to answer red hammer.

I thought "Blue oyster." Since oyster is not a tool, I made the quick mental addition of "shucking knife."
