Hey!

Anyone knows if there are any games like the Commandos games with online co-op? Preferable released a little bit later than the Commandos games?

Oh, and they're cheap on Steam if anyone is interested: http://store.steampowered.com/sub/4156/

Thanks!

Commandos, damn, that brings back some (frustrated) memories.

So you're asking for a squad-based, real-time tactics game focused around stealth with multiplayer co-op. That's a preeeeetty tall order. Though honestly, it surprised me that when I thought about it I couldn't think up a single game.

The closest I can think of is Frozen Synapse, but that has a competitive multiplayer component and is turn-based instead of real-time.

I know, it is kind of much to ask for, but who knows, maybe there's some game out there I've missed?

Alright, lets try to make it at least a little bit easier. How about any genre and not having to be squad based but still stealth multiplayer co-op? At least 3 but preferable 4 player co-op.

We've played some Frozen Synapse but meh, it was good and all but not fast enough. Thanks though! :)

There's Soldiers: Heroes of WWII and maybe Men of War, although I haven't played the latter, so I'm not sure about that. I think it's similar.

Soldiers has a top down/isometric perspective and you control mutiple units. It looks a little like an RTS, but plays more like an action game (trying to play the game like an RTS will just get you killed). You can control the units like in an RTS, or thake direct control of them. You can do some stealth too.

The campaings can be played co-op (Russian, British, American and German campaings), and there's also some vs. multiplayer modes.

I think that's the closest to what you're looking for that I can think of.

It requires windows 9X or Me? I've never even heard of those operating systems. Well I can't play this most likely, not with 7 64 bit. I don't buy old games off steam, they rarely work with more avdanced hardware.

desperados wanted dead or alive
is good

Robin Hood The Legend of Sherwood Forest
was fun too

Silent Storm

this here is a must. if you havent played it you are not a true gamer or at least missed a good one: Jagged Alliance 2

i know some more but i do not know their names anymore. i will post it later on.
Thanks, but unfortunately, none of those games have co-op multiplayer, which is what I was looking for. Well, except Jagged Alliance 2, but we were looking for a game released a couple of years later, at least around 2006 or later.

Well 4 player idk, but Sniper Elite has 2 player coop, and some of the Rainbow Six games do too. You could try those. If you wanna go more old school though, Fallout Tactics has squad based combat, and some sort of online component, but I have no idea what it is or how it works.

Yeah, we've looked at Sniper Elite v2 but as it's only 2p co-op and we already have one of the Rainbox Six games.

We'll look into Jagged Alliance Online even though it's not quite what we were looking for. Could be worth a try though.

Oh, I thought this was a thread about military special-ops personnel liking games with online multiplayer in. Sorry, I have nothing to add.
