It's called Dead Ops Arcade. I have a feeling that's gonna be the extended zombie mode (or modes).

OT: Killing Castro sounds cool and all, but I don't like the idea of retconning actual history, unless they're going for a total alternate universe Cold War. I know the Call of Duty franchise has never really been about realism, but don't throw one or two fictional historical events into a game based around factual historical events just because it's cool.

Maybe Treyarch is pulling a "Zakhaev" with Castro? For those that don't know, there is a mission in Call of Duty 4 where you have to assassinate an ultranationalist leader called Imran Zakhaev. While you do manage to shoot him with a sniper rifle, he later turns out to be alive (but had lost his arm as a result of the assassination attempt).

Maybe you kill "Castro" and it actually turns out to be a double?

if the achievement is for killing Castro, it pretty much only shows that some north americans are still with the blue balls of never getting to kill him and the existence of comunism in Cuba

about the cuban intel on kennedy, see, as far as I know, the cuban intel wasnt fucking around, they set what they wanted and then went on to get it, the CIA was like, too distracted on "OMAIGAWTH COMMUNIZM CLOZE TO UHHMEEHRICAAWW" or something like that

Killing Castro? So will this be where the realism dies? I'm Canadian born after the 80s so I have nothing against Cuba or Castro. This is a cold war game, so Russians are the enemy... again. It would be interesting if this alternate past led up to the world of the Modern Warfare games, but Black Ops is made by a different developer right? It would be cool to see if they did link the developers stories together.

Im American, and quite frankly don't give a shit. To put it bluntly, of course. It was a dark part of our history, that we actually aren't particularly proud of. But it was always the case of "no one could claim to be the good guy".

They're going for realism, which I salute. Since CoD4, History has slightly been changed and altered from what would realistically happen.

Sorry if that may have come out harsh.

well, I wasnt generalizing, that's why I said "some", but yeah, I understand you, english is not my main language, so, mind the mistakes

about the "history" part, I can't complain, it's a video game, nobody wants to make a game based on something the whole world knows how it ended (oh the irony, WWII)

as for the harsh part, no, it was actually pretty nice, or polite, or however you fancy north hemispherians call it =P

I hope so, I wouldnt really like to pay for a game that may not be played locally in my country/region and would handle rather shitty on high ping and latencies (yes UT3 and Quake 1, I'm looking at you both, stop pretending)

well this is what COD4/6 have done. At my school I had to do a report on a historical leader. I was marked because I did stalin. I thought he did some bad things ut alot of good as well. much lke hitler. however, I had to take questions at the end. one guy asked "aren't all russians evil?" and half the class agreed. most of them, were COD fans.

God that always makes my blood boil.

I know a few Russian people. They are absolutely crazy, but its in an enjoyable way. They are always kind.

But going a little off topic from the actual achievements, Stalin was insane. He was responsible for more deaths than Hitler. Yet because us Americans weren't involved in it, we turn a blind eye towards Stalin.

Judging from the fact that the game is about a secret military project of super soldiers and that you have crossbows with the same accuracy as a gun this game is by far not a historical piece. It's like saying Bioshock is lame or stupid because they changed the way 50s science evolved...It's dumb logic.

I'm still not getting the game. I refuse to give kotick [anymore] money.
