Yet if I liked DA:O (I didn't, just following your example), bought DA2, and it turned out to be crap, I will critizice the hell out of it, in hopes to itch the producers enough to make them change whatever they did bad back to how it was on the first game.

I will both vote with my wallet and voice my opinions, and I certainly won't be silenced by people thinking that it's enough to vote with my wallet. EA has proved to have stupid execs, I feel forced to spell it out for them.

While I think Dragon Age 2 is alright at the end of the day, it's clear that the final product was rushed and I blame the games existence in pop culture as a 'cave simulator' entirely on EA.

My memories of the first game are pretty cave simulator based, with the odd "miscelaneous medieval house" simulatyion thrown in.

Kind-of, EA bought out Bioware in 2007 while Dragon Age was released in 2009. Assuming they did at least a years worth of planning before its announcement in 2004 the majority of DA's development would have been free of EA.

You mean like the game doesn't slap in your face the quests you haven't paid for, just like the sims 3 slaps in your face the items you haven't paid for?

It has those, but those things look like they were added after that fact rather than designed from the start.

I'm not particularly clear on this. Fallout New Vegas was not published by nor developed by EA (It was developed by Obsidian who is not a subsidiary of EA and published by ZeniMax). The game is sold as a packaged product with a complete experience from start to finish. Any DLC covers secondary story threads that are not directly relevant to the main storlines in the game. At no point does the game actively invite you to purchase DLC while playing; this is handled entirely outside of the game. Contrast that with Dragon Age: Origin which places an NPC in your camp in order to hawk DLC and note that Dragon Age was developed by an EA subsidiary (Bioware) and published by EA.

Continuing with that trend, Dishonored, Ryse and Forza were also not affiliated with EA in the slightest. I find it odd considering there are plenty of EA games with various questionable DLC approaches.

You're right. They're removed for now. I'm considering expanding the list to all publishers rather than just EA. I'll focus on getting the definitions and descriptions right for now, and I'll probably add the list of guilty games at the end. Thanks.

They made a store app that pisses me off less than Steam? Dammit I did it again.
ummmm they made a very average IOS game based off some old IP that people apparently like a lot for some reason, so I guess that's bad.

Snarking aside EA has really never annoyed me more than any other dev and at the end of the day they make games I enjoy and that's what I care about. Really the only companies that bother me are certain Japanese devs... *COUGH*nintenosegacapcomkonami*COUGH*
