What?! They can't do that! That's when Skyrim comes out, people will get confused!/sarcasm

I can actually see this game working on the Wii. I don't know if it would be able to handle it or not though.
It is come out 11/18-20/11 not 11/11/11
Wwait... Skyrim is coming out on a day where everything is closed? Um... kinda weird.
11/18/11 is minecraft 11/11/11 is Skyrim. which are you talking about?

Says November 11 on other sites, which is weird because it's a Friday when games typically come out Tuesdays, and it's Remembrance day.

On topic: I don't get why everyone is so insistent in having a console version of this game. The PC version is more versatile and if it can run on cell phones, then it can run on your computer unless you have a Pentium 166 from 1991 like I have buried in my basement somewhere....
11/18/11 is minecraft. sorry if I confused you.

That does it. That fucking does it. I may actually break and shell out for an Xbox 360 now. Damn you, Notch and your addicting sandbox thing!

While I find it disappointing that Minecraft won't be coming to PS3, I could honestly care less. Minecraft is infinitely better on a PC anyway.

As a matter of fact, I sort of feel sorry for the people that get Minecraft on the Xbox. Why?
No player made mods.

Why?

How do you benefit from PS3 gamers not having this available to them?

Exclusives from third parties are nothing more than bribes. I recognize that in this case it could be that Notch and his team can't program for the PS3 but I think it's more likely that they were bribed. Console exclusives are great when they are made or published by the console makers. I am fine with Zelda being a Nintendo exclusive for example but there is no reason for games like this to be exclusive.

That's a weird decision.
This game seems like more of something that the ps crowd would enjoy more than the xbx crowd. I didn't really imagine it being a console exclusive to begin with to tell you the truth.

My big question is: are they finally going to release the actual game or did he just run out of pc gamers to sell the beta to.

I still can't believe people buy betas now.
Ok, for the first bit, probably was a exclusive and then will be ported to PS3 after a while because Microsoft is pretty strict when it comes to allowing cross platform games *NOT Cross Platform Play, but selling the same game to both competotors customers, Minecraft is big, so they make it exclusive, people buy Xbox's to play it, they getz teh moneys of course then JO WIN! Of course that makes little sense but its Microsoft logic.

The Xbox version is going to be coming out about the date of Minecon, which will be the release, whole heartedly for both Xbox and PC.

Also, Betas are being sold so Indie Devs get some extra money while making the game.

While gamers with just a PS3 or a Wii are out of luck, I think Microsoft's console is the best fit for Minecraft honestly.
I understand the reasons a game can become a console exclusive but how does that make the Xbox a better fit for Minecraft then the PS3, or even the Wii?

I wouldn't buy a game like that for the console anyway: I don't mind it's a 360 exclusive. I just think it's weird because it seems like more of a playstation game. Not that it wont sell well on the 360... especially now it's "exclusive" all the 360 fanboys are sure to buy it on principle.
While I will admit that an Indie Dev has more of an excuse to sell a beta to people than a big publisher like Bethesda who doesn't even have the decency to call it a beta,
I just don't like the idea that people are paying to do something they used to get paid FOR doing.

Indie Dev, very low amounts of money.
Triple A has a million.
Seriously, Indie Devs don't get enough money to see certain projects through *Alien Swarm is a good example* and by doing Beta Releases, they can get both money and bugtesters into their game.

Triple A devs SHOULDN'T be doing these betas, but games like Project Zomboid or Minecraft which do these to show off their game while being able to sell copies.
And I don't want to hear that these Indie Devs don't work, seriously, look at Minecraft, its gone a long way.
