Lucky! I haven't gotten my hands on any since the shift from VCR.
Actually, the DVD sets of seasons 4-7 were a wedding present from one of our friends. ^^

But what about the reboot?
Apart from wanting to slap the writer for not knowing what a fucking Supernova is (I mean, really, there are 8 year olds who can point out the flaws in THAT "science"!)....
I mean, seriously... Super Novas threaten single star systems, and don't take anyone by surprise - they require millions of years to build up to, and while they do so they would have killed any life in the star system already by slow heat and radiation increases. And, even IF something caused the star to super-nova instantly, there certainly wouldn't have been time to build a fancy one-man ship to try to fix it - Romulus would have been vaporized in minutes, at best. And collapsing the super-nova into a black hole would simply suck Romulus in, killing everyone anyway, so it was an idiotic plan to start with.
**breathes heavily**
... nice to get that off my chest. Ahem.
Aside from that, though, I generally enjoyed the reboot. Kirk was lackluster, but... if you consider it a parody of Shatner, it's actually kind of funny. As for Spock - holy crap did they get that casting perfect. Diddo for McCoy.
I also liked the shout-outs to the original series. Sulu with a sword? Awesome. The reboot may have been badly made, but at least it was made with love, by actual fans. It's a bit fan-wanky at times, but then so is the new Doctor Who, and I love that show.
I actually rank the reboot over Star Trek 1 and 5. It may have it's horrible, glaring flaws, but at least it's fun - unlike Star Trek 1. Actually the reboot and Star Trek 5 feel similar to me - a lot of good stuff mixed up with a lot of bad stuff. I think the good stuff to bad stuff ratio is slightly better in the reboot than Star Trek 5, but the flaws in the reboot are less excusable, so it's kind of a wash.
