Everybody arguing this is why he committed "suicide" (more like committed "getting killed by his wife") needs to realize that he was in show business. He should have expected himself to become a whore to the public and the fans, like everyone before him. If he wasn't able to take it, he should have quit. I'm speaking a bit out of ignorance as I haven't played the game but if Cobain was included as a tribute this his music and legacy and he only appears to sing Nirvana songs (in a similar way in the previous GH's where the chick with the dreads only pops up to sing songs with female vocals) I don't have a problem with that. If he's been included to move more units among the Gen X crowd and he can be used to sing something like "Sex On Fire" then I think that's taking the piss.

Courtney would have known ahead of time what Activision were up to with her dead husband's image. She's just trying to get attention now by picking a fight, like she has so often done.

I've been back and forth on this and I've decided that, regardless of whatever story the drug-and-insanity-addled mind of Courtney Love comes up with, I'm not so sure Kurt would really be so put out by his inclusion in this game. I mean this is a guy who had the ability to laugh at himself in a way, giving Weird Al permission to make "Smells Like Nirvana"

You know Activision could just change the name of the character to Curt Kobane, swap the color pallete around and call it a day. He's already in the game. A lawsuit really won't do much. It's not like GH has famous characters or spoofs of famous characters in all their other games /sarcasm...*rolls eyes*

I cannot really comment of the story accuratly without knowing a few more details, such as the nature of the contract and the legal staus of the rights to his image and work...

But...it is Courney Love. She does do a LOT of things for attenion. Whenever she appears in the news or in a magazine she is either extremly skinny, drunk, doped, partially naked or fresh from sugery.

If it was my dead husband and his intellectual properly, still in my name, was misued, I would have settled the privatly quietly in a court, not rant about it on twitter.

Doing so, seems undignified and disrespectful. I think she just lost out on a contract deal, smells some big money and came sniffing

Let's be fair though: They did a really good job on him. I mean, really. That looks just like the guy.
