Hmm, it would have been cool if there was some big conspiracy behind it...
Oh yes, there is. Kind of.

Have they tried playing it backwards yet?
Actually, "Islam is the light" is simply a happy artifact of playing "buy more babyz" in reverse. Once we realized that, sales was able to set up an independent billing plan to the International Front for Mohammed's Truth, and now we get paid twice for the same sample. Word of advice, never play poker with our sales department.

A quick run through the deSubX3 codec, which strips the subliminal track and inserts some additional noise, and you have a harmless, "publicly available" sample to smooth things over with the public.

So what if it says Islam is the light? There are only a billion and a half things that say the same about fucking Christianity. Fuck your god.

Of course, after listening to it, I don't think that the saying was intentional, but I can definitely see -or should I say hear?- how the mother thought the baby was saying "Islam is the Light."

I think that Islam is a load of trash, but I believe that this Islamophobia in America has gone on too long. Toys are trying to convert children? Now you're pushing it.

Not for the first time [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satanic_ritual_abuse], either. There seems to be some sort of deep-seated need to be under seige and protect our precious chil'en from the Invisible Forces of Evil.

It's also the obverse face of the "toast Jesus" phenomenon [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pareidolia] in that humans interpret their perceptions in terms of what they already recognise or expect... which is why psychologists find the Rorschach inkblot sets useful, because an individual's interpretation of what the blot is showing says alot about that individual's expectations and prior experience.

It's human. It doesn't stop me from wanting to slap the forces of moral panic in the face with icy cod carcasses, but it does suggest why it happens.

And in any case, if it *had* said 'Islam is the light', what would be wrong with that?
Then I would consider it propaganda with an Islamic-centered company trying to shove their religion down my kids throats.

Like I said before, I understand her concern, even if it was just googoogaagaa talk, I wouldn't want my kids playing a game that is meant for everyone and all of a sudden said "Jesus is our Savior". A game meant for everyone is trying to seduce my kids to their own religion in a "our religion is the ONE" propaganda attempt. If my kids want to convert to a different religion when they understand the concept of it, then they can do whatever the hell they want.

It's like playing Tetris and all of a sudden it said "Blacks are the way to go, *****!", it would be annoying.....and very very creepy.

But either way, that baby in the picture is insanely creepy to me.

Hey, i think the ressurection angel in WoW says 'give us all your money'. Our brains are built to scan for patterns and recognise words, and so gibberish naturally leaps gaps of reality to find meaning. Listen to a foreign song, at first it will be meaningless sounds, but with repeated listenings your mind will warp it into words, despite the fact that you know there are none there.

What we hear and the noise around us are two very, very different things.
