Recently I had the awesome experience of having the maker of Sequence help me beat a level of his own game.

I made the topic here, http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?p=27662194#post27662194. Basically, I was having a large amount of trouble with a foe and had no way to swap out my spells or level up some more. He watched me play for a bit, gave me some pointers, and it was still going wrong. You can watch my playthrough of it at this link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rU9RTpVGvFM. (I had to edit the sound out due my extremely cheap microphone being on during the recording and producing a loud amount of static)

He then offered to take my save file to attempt it himself, which can be viewed here. http://www.livestream.com/iridiumstudios/video?clipId=pla_5a44792e-eab9-422f-95a6-a41b94bc3f2c&utm_source=lslibrary&utm_medium=ui-thum. He just barely makes it at the end. I really messed up on my load-out! He's looking into weakening that fight a tad.

After that he gave me a save file of just after the fight so I could enjoy the great story uninterrupted and also a edited save file where he swapped out spells with others that I had so I can try again.

It was a really fun experience and was amazed at how much time he spent to help just one person on such a personal level.

I'd highly recommend the game even without this event and since it's still only $1.24 you really should support this awesome developer.

Oh, and he had minor surgery in a few hours.

Huh, how cool is that? Guess you can do a lot more as an indie dev to support customers =D

And yet if this was a mainstream game you'd all be making snarky comments about how the game must suck if the developer has to explain how to play it.

Wasn't so much as a 'learn to play' issue as it was 'drew myself into a corner' issue.
