Who are some of the creepiest bosses you encountered in non-horror games?

I'll start off by saying the dang crocodile thing in Super Metroid, you know the one. Where you had to avoid him when he came up from the water and fire missiles at him? Hated that guy.

You know what, gravemind and the flood in general creeped me out in the halo series. The idea it was like a parasite that would just consume you and mutate you creeped me out, the idea your alive while it takes over and changes you... ew ew ew...

Probably the Berserker in Gears of War. I don't know what it is, but the fact that it's blind and hunts by sound makes it really creepy. Also, that scream it lets out when it charges at you makes me want to shit my pants. Especially because whenever I hear that sound, I'm usually going to die.

Probably the scariest thing about them is that they're female. So that means the male Locust have to have sex with those things on a regular basis to keep the race alive. >_<

And while they technically aren't bosses, the fucking poison headcrabs from Half Life 2 also freaked me the hell out. Their hissing noises, the fact they can drop your health to 1, and the fact that there are zombies that carry them on their back and throw them at me make me hate going into Ravenholm.

The deconstructor from Ulduar in WoW

Maybe its the concept of a machine child that promises not to "break" new toys that gets to me.

Not a Boss, but a Stalker... The Dahaka from Prince of Persia: Warrior Within.

Creepiness added due to the fact that you couldn't see him since he was behind you, but then whenever he got too close you could hear his evil gibberish.

Definitely this guy.
Just look at that creepy ************. Probably not so creepy now that I'm an adult, but imagine fighting this thing when you're six years old.

That's the Dead Hand from Ocarina Of Time. He was the mini-boss at the bottom of the well.

Dead hand from Legend of Zelda; Ocarina of Time.

That's what I immediately thought when reading the OP.

The SMT series has some good ones. Pandora from the first Persona is pretty... weird looking.

Then there are demons like Arioch and Mara who I think might be NSFW.

The Broodmother from Dragon Age isn't *that* creepy looking, imo, but the story behind it is genuinely really fucked up. Probably the only time in the whole game where it really felt like "dark fantasy."

Actually, the Dahaka is a boss you can fight. :x Although I agree, he's infinitely scarier and creepier while he's chasing you.

My candidate would be The Mother from Dragon Age: Awakening. Not only is she utterly insane, she's a Broodmother. The very monstrosity that nightmares are made of, both for their appearance and the story behind those abominations.

Beat me to it. That's the monster I always post in threads like this. Freaked me the hell out when I was little. I think it's mostly the teeth that always make it look like it's smiling or laughing that makes it so horrible, and the fact that you have to LET it grab you.

I don't know if you should limit it to Boss battles Yes some bosses from non horror games are terrifying but there's a lot of things that crawl under your skin.
For Example The Moon the Majora's mask just had that creepiness to it it forever stalked you and had those intense eyes.
and in terms of modern games in Fable 2 The level Perfect world had a twist that genuinely disturbed me and gave me a feeling of dread as I played it.
I'd mention something from Fallout 3 but that game did have a horror-esque atmosphere to it. at lower levels the sewers are terrifying, and the Dunwhich Building has it's dark little secrets all wrapped up in horror.

The noises the poison headcrab zombies and fast headcrab zombies made - both alerted and unalerted. O_O Do not want

I've never played Metal Gear Solid, but apparently the boss that talks about your games is pretty off-putting.

Death from Persona 3 [FES]...

Hearing death's chains on any floor gave me chills and it wasn't until I finally went up against it (due to a quest I finally accepted) that I realized it wasn't "as" creepy as I thought it would be... (The battle music didn't convey it more...)

Death still creeps me out... but, from a distance instead of right upfront...
In the words of Eustace Bagge (in regards to Death): "Get away from me..."

psychomantis? yeah he is pretty off-putting especially because he takes over your mind by possessing your control and hes pretty tough to beat unless you swap your controller to port 2

theres loads of creepy MGS bosses though, pretty much all of MGS4s beauty and beasts are pretty sinister
