yeah, i was a bit irritated that Layton looked so pissed ALL THE TIME when i first watched that trailer. he only spent about 2% of his games angry. god, that comic was so out of nowhere (was it though?) but utterly hilarious.

Phoenix Wright vs Professor Layton. A tale of two men and their dubiously young "traveling companions" on a quest for justice.

I don't think there's one moment where Layton doesn't look like he's bottling up unspeakable rage. This [http://img641.imageshack.us/img641/7200/istheansweraknifeintheb.jpg], gentle readers is not the face of a man about to engage in some mutually beneficial cooperation. It is the face of a man who is about to shank a ************.
Nah, Prof. Layton looks pretty calm at around 2:19 of that video, but I get your point.
OT: Doesn't really look like my type of game (I've always been shitty at puzzle games), to be honest, but the story seems to pique my interest a little bit.

OK... I said in the past that comics seeking a mass appeal should avoid specific references and jokes that might not make sense to people who are unfamiliar with certain series'... but this one is so utterly hilarious I'm willing to totally ignore my past convictions. Seriously, this is the funniest comic yet!

I didn't even know Layton had a prosecutor's degree. And seeing Pheonix in FMV, instead of just sprite animation? YES PLEASE.

Pity it ain't coming out in the US.

It will. IT BETTER. We need to find some way to start a petition of some sort, perhaps?

And voiced, too.

'course by now everyone has their own versions of Phoenix and Maya in their head. A number of us will probably be disappointed.
Doesn't he spat "Objection" out of his mouth or it was just generic?

Ha! I can't believe I actually got that eight-matchstick reference.

I remembered reading one of those brain-teasers in an Encyclopedia once, and that's what tipped me off.

Now what's my Prize :D

This sequence ends with Phoenix proving a small detail of the speech wrong and ends up with some person who was seemingly unrelated to the whole incident being the true criminal and trying to frame Layton.
