So, when playing CKII I was minding my own business as the king of Scotland, when suddenly the mongol invasion arrived, and with no warning giving me all their money (5000 gold), vassals, and control over their 80000 soldiers (which i don't pay for). They also do not count as raised levies in diplomatic purposes, and no one minds them being raised for several years...
