Crysis help needed ! (Xbox 360) * Possible spoliers*

Hey guys I am in need of help as I have been pulling my hair out for the past hour with this flippin game.
I am currently at the end of the game fighting the alien warship but when I get to the part where I have to hit it with the tac rifle I don?t know how to get it.
I have checked online and it says to get it from the armory but I am not able to get down there.
I?ve also checked walkthroughs that say after you defeat that mini boss on the flight deck you have to go to the core but that doesn?t happen for me. Instead the alien warship shows up and I have to fight it but as I have said before I don?t have the tac rifle so cannot do anything, is there anyone out there that has done this on Xbox that knows what I?m doing wrong here as I would like to complete this game with some hair left

cant get down to where armoury is the door next to were the admiral dies is blocked

You are supposed to have it before the admiral kicks the bucket, if memory serves me correctly. And I only beat it a few days ago.

yes ive seen a walkthorough like this but like i said as soon as i go out onto the fight deck a mini boss fight kicks in followed by the fight with the alien war ship i seem to be missing the mission that you have to go into the core. Did you play it on xbox and if so did you have that mission?

Yes on Xbox and yes to that mission. If you did go to the armory and you did pick up the TAC nuke thingy, then you have to hold Y and push the left directional button to switch between it and the rocket launcher.

If you are already out on deck the second time and aliens are swarming around you and you absolutely don't have it, then try going back inside. If you can't get inside, then you're shit out of luck.

I found out that what i have been doing is hitting that door which triggers the admirals death ive just gone past that bit and it has triggered the core mission hurray!! thanks for your help anyways
