You can't even get in trouble for piracy there. (at least, not for downloading. Uploading is another matter entirely.)

I for one am proud of Crytek. Sticking to ones guns and then sticking them to the man are admirable traits, defining their commitment to their fans as every company out there should. /salute

German laws surrounding violence in media are certainly pretty tight. Given the types of games Crytek makes, I'm not too surprised to hear this.

I really doubt the German government is going to back off just because they're threatening to leave though.
