Awww, lookit, he's licking that nice marine. Now the other nice marine's being bathed in acid.

Remember Blizzard's Heart of the Swarm trailer [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/121691-Blizzard-Reveals-Heart-of-the-Swarm-Opening-Cinematic], with its ominous drums and fiery chaos? Well, so do the folks at Carbot Animations, except that they had a more ... charming idea. Cute Zerg! Cute Zerg all tongue-lickin' and smiling and eating planets. As they do.

Carbot Animations are the ones behind the StarCrafts parody. Yes, they have Quite a few, in fact [http://www.carbotanimations.com/starcrafts/].

Carbot describes itself as "the realization of the dreams of two brothers, who share a passion for entertainment, parodies and good humor." It's a fairly recent thing; October 2012 was its website start date.

I still wish they hadn't made the Zerg so stupidly overpowered in the original trailer, but at least the cuteness makes it bearable here.

Well, the good thing about the trailer is, that was probably Kerrigan's fantasy being played out... you know, in a dream. Which it was. Just my two cents on the original trailer.

I discovered these videos not long ago through our own General Twinkletoes, whose profile pic is in fact, a zergling from StarCrafts. When I mentioned his adorable picture, he was kind enough to tell me it's origins!

Okay, that's actually such a freakishly good example of videos fitting so well that I'm willing to overlook the annoyance of playing around with starting two videos at the same time in order to recieve the badassness there in.

OT: I'll concede I don't know much about Zerglings, but I know enough that them licking marines isn't factually correct, but I dun care! They're so cute!!

Funny thing is there's one mission where you play as a larva and it just kind of hops around generally looking like an adorable monster worm. Then it turns into a brood mother and stops being so cuddly.

I fucking love carbot. It's so awesome to see a random guy start animations on youtube for fun, and then grow so ,much that he's getting contacted by major tournaments and Blizzard themselves. He deserves every bit of success he gets.
