Surprisingly low, unless they're aiming for 30 fps...for a first person game...on a PC. Which would suck.

I think they probably have a system that cuts out a shitload of detail to make it playable on a wide array of systems, The minimums just mean that the game will "work" not necessarily play great.

I suspect it will probably do things like lower the number of random people walking around, random vehicles, fewer advertisements on the sides of buildings, etc to reduce hardware usage.

Yeah shit like that, i imagine it would turn down the neon lightning and shadows. Shadows are a huge resource hog, you'd be surprised how little CPU power you need if you just turn your shadows off. It's wild.

Eh, you get used to it if you grew up playing FPS games on an Xbox/Xbox 360 era unless it was Call of Duty games.

My CPU isn't quite that good, but my GPU is just barely above that. So normal settings shouldn't be an issue, that's good.

I am just a teeny bit over their min. (RX 480 vs min. RX 470). I should be able to tweak it and have it be very playable. But I'm barely keeping up.

Well, remember that "minimum" is shorthand for "the game will murder you and everyone you love if you can't even meet these pathetic requirements", but even the recommended ones are surprisingly moderate.

Could always play on console if you can't deal with new pc parts.
I will likely wait to next Summer at a minimum for Xbox Series X. Get rid of bugs. Will there be games that will require an upgrade? I love consoles too. Got the Xbox 1 X. How long will it be supported? I'm betting this game will have a version for that system too.
But... I foresee some hardware upgrades in my future. Consoles and PC hardware. New card/CPU. Got the Ryzen 7 1700. 3700 I think fits the same socket.

My new PC sits very pretty above those recommended specs. And it’s a weird day when I can say my weakest link is the GTX1080 card. But I’ll be dropping a 30XX in that in the next six months.

My workstation laptop kills the recommended requirements but the OCed 5960x and Titan XM in my 3D rendering rig would probably smoke it due to 2 extra cores and better thermals despite a marginally weaker GPU.
