I 100% agree with you; it's funny but forgettable. Two scenes got a good laugh at of me (the ending being one of them and a backyard showdown being the other) but when it's not Marky Mark and Will Dad-offing each other, the film falls flat.
So... It stayed a "family" comedy when it could have taken the extra mile to make it a rated-R "family" comedy? Well, I know what I'm watching when it's showcased on a television set, per se...
Other than that, I guess I can assume the trailers didn't spoil all of the good parts... per se...
