Daredevil Netflix Trailer Reveals The Man Without Fear

Here's your first full glimpse at Marvel's blind superhero series

The IGN Exclusive [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/tag/view/marvel%20cinematic%20universe]

The trailer is light on details and heavy on a gritty neon-urban tone, with only fleeting glimpses as familiar elements like Daredevil's mentor Stick and Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk, aka The Kingpin of Crime. Fans hoping to confirm that the titular hero will eventually don his iconic red suit will likely feel let down, as (in the trailer, at least) only the simple black costume - which many have assumed would be a "starter" outift - is on display.

The next Marvel/Netflix series, Alias: Jessica Jones, is already in production with Krysten Ritter in the title role. [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/138895-Marvel-Krysten-Ritter-Jessica-Jones-Series-Luke-Cage]

First created in 1964, Daredevil follows the adventures of Matt Murdock, a blind attorney in New York's Hell's Kitchen who by night uses his super-heightened remaining senses to fight crime as a costumed vigilante. Though never as initially popular as some other Marvel creations, the character experienced a renaissance when writer/artist Frank Miller transformed the series into a gritty urban crime comic and introduced new characters like former Spider-Man foe The Kingpin and the ninja-assassin Elektra.

Looks pretty good to me. Daredevil could make great use of dark tones and brutal violence. I haven't liked the application of the same in Arrow, but it could work here especially given that Marvel only needs to setup the story for a single season. While I would like to see more red on screen, I can believe the stealth with Murdock in all black.

If any character in Marvel can handle using the grim and dark theme playbook, it's Daredevil. DD has always been a character I like, but he's never been my favorite character in the Marvel universe by any stretch.

I'm really looking forward to this series. Can't wait to watch it. :)

Isn't that the exact same costume they used for Daredevil when he appeared in Trial of the Incredible Hulk? Seriously, it looks like they've just unlocked the wardrobe from that film and brushed the dust and mothballs off before re-using it

Yup it's the same one well it's base on one of the versions of his costume in the comics.

OT- Look alright, shame they couldn't add a special effect on his enchanse hearing (yes I know it's on a lower budget compared to the film).
