Dark Knight Rises Villains

So, if you haven't heard. Anne Hathaway is being cast as Catwoman and Tom Hardy is being Cast as Bane in the new Dark Knight Rises movie. I know that a lot of people are gonna be bashing this choice left and right (mostly on Hathaway's part) But if you think about it. All the skepticism on her performance will be the same as when they announced Heath Ledger as joker.
I'm not saying that Hathaway's and Hardy's performance will blow us away. (which hopefully they will) But hopefully Chris Nolan's opinion still has merit. How do you all feel about the choice of villain and the actors chosen to play the part?
I'm excited for the villain choices...although if I remember correctly, wasn't poison Ivy the one responsible for Bane? As for the actors, well, I don't think they can be any worse than either incarnation of Rachel Dawes.

No, that was only the case in that *shudder* Batman and Robin movie. Comic Bane got his powers in a science test, like a lot of them do.

I think this movie will be awsome, but it wont live up to the dark knight
