They're gonna Gandolf his ass!

He starts off by staring down some bad ass monster (Balrog/Palpatine respectively), ends up falling down a bottomless pit against said monster, presumably fight with monster on the way down during the opening credits, and becomes Vader the White! He then comes back to help his Ewok friends (as well as the Fellowship; Aragorn/Han Solo; Legalos/Princess Leia; Boromir/Luke Skywalker and Gimli/Yoda) get the washer that will fix the Death Star into the fires of Mustafar!

Following news that Disney has bought the rights to the lucrative sci-fi franchise and plans to make at least three more movies, industry insiders say the evil Vader will grace the big screen again.

?He?s an integral part of the franchise. Replacing him is virtually impossible,? explains a film mole. ?The plan is for him to return and play a significant role in the new films.?
Aha, "industry insiders" say this? And they have a "mole" in the production process? Well, that seals it, doesn't it: this news must be true! I think Critical Miss put it rather well when it comes to the plausibility of anonymous sources.

Yeah, no. Point the first: I'll start possibly considering that this might be true when it comes from a named source. Point the second: it's the Daily Express. Not the most reputable purveyor of news. Point the third: they have an Oscar-winning screenwriter on board. Not that that's any guarantee, but I'd like to think he could come up with ideas less stupid than resurrecting Vader.

Oh...imagine if they retconned his death? Blech.
10:1 odds that's exactly what happened.

These movies are gonna suck, and I am going to have to murder anyone who suggests otherwise.

And the worst part is, he'll be completely CGI.
No, what's worse is that despite all of the hatred towards the films, people will still flock to see them no matter how bad they are. Simple because they are Star Wars.

Gandalf was equivalent of angel with God backing him up, no such thing for Vader. Realistically, it'll be a flashback or something like that.

No....no no no no no no nononononononononoonononofndjifojsdiofhjsajkfhsdjkfhdsjkfhsdkfhdsjkhfjksdhfds

He is dead. D-E-A-D, dead. You cannot bring him back, he's dead. Disney, stop, punch yourself in the face, then the groin...then face again. No, no no no.

Thats all I have to add.

I can see no negative repercussions from this idea what so ever.
It'll be smooth sailing from here on out.

I really doubt this is going to happen. Disney aren't stupid, they know this would completely piss off even the most casual of fans.

Well given how we see Obi Wan, Yoda, and Anakin ghosts at the end of Jedi, that's probably what they mean by "bringing him back." Might be a bit awkward if they decide that his suit came with him, but regardless if that's indeed the route they're going, it could be interesting to see Anakin's ghost now playing the role of Obi Wan for the new hero.

"He got cloned and then deformed again har har, really hope the Fanz will be please to see him again lol, cus this is a film for the fanz and it needs to be accessible for younger new comers to Space Wars.. I mean Star Wars."

So, I saw your avatar and it wasn't moving. Sometimes on here, I need to mouse over a gif to get it to play. As soon as I moused over, the kitty peeked up at my cursor, and it was the most adorable thing ever.

OT: This kind of kills any hope I had of VII being any good... It's been permanently branded a cash grab in my head now.

Maybe the Toy Story guys will finally make a Star Wars villain with a motivation, that'd be something new and refreshing.

What? How is that even possible? The dude got his arm chopped off (for what may be the third time). Died on the Death Star mk. 2 and had his corpse cremated on Endor with the end result of him being a blue Jedi ghost so he can troll the living by interrupting them during masturbation sessions. Yeah, it's science fiction but there's a stark difference between suspension of disbelief and pulling something right out of your ass!

That website is for a tabloid. That means they're not the slightest bit credible.

Unrelated: The DISH Fall Sales Event can kiss my ass.

I'm trying to keep my cautious optimism here....but Disney....you're making this awfully difficult.

Hoping this is just the rumor mill churning.

If it was going to happen, it would a be a clone much like the return of maul in the comics. As for concern for when it is set. They don't want to set it in any of the EU, and may well retcon alot of it

Um...

Why?

Vader was pretty much dead by the end of the original trilogy. What possible excuse could they have to bring him back??

Hopefully this isn't true. As I can't really imagine seeing Mark Hamill coming back to reprise his role. Last time I saw him, he's kinda aged a bit.

it's probably gonna be like Force Unleashed
you know, the interval between Vader's rise and Luke's battle

Disney have already said they will NOT re-hash the old characters. They are using a new timeline and a new part of the Star Wars universe.

This so-called "mole" is obviously just using a little fear mongering to get some money/attention.
