de-rez: Jack & George

Jack and George have a quaint fulfilling life. But when the decision of buying a console enters their relationship, what's more important?

Huh... didn't actually make any sense until the end. But nice moral. Remember kids, arguing over consoles is 'gay'!.

Well, looks like it's been fixed, so now I don't have to fight between two de-rez's

-and yes, it contains a very nut crushingly hard and important message...but it was kinda boring.

That was hilarious, especially the end... creepy, weird and disturbing... but hilarious.

It's always quite scary when I find something disturbing after my level of cynicism.

Congratulations for REALLY creeping me out.

Slow moving, but the wild overracting was lovely. Also, that final punchline is exactly the kind of snappy ending your last few videos have been lacking.

It's also nice to see you guys experimenting with other styles. The curly-haired dude has been hilarious, for some reason.

Hehe, not your best video, but still entertaining, and with an important message to all the console fanboys ;)

Frank was definitely the best character I've ever seen in any media ever. Spot on perfect. Also it was funny that in the bedroom scene there is an Xbox360 in the background of the shot. Really really well done!

Im divided on my feelings for this one. DeRez went from slapstick 'B' show, with industry inserts to attempting a message dealing with real current social issues. The punchline seemed to be an open portal to taking either offence, or acceptance to current day acceptance of Homosexual people. At First I saw the offence, or the punchline being a way of defending the use of ignorance by people today. 'Thats Gay' is offencive because its ignorance, just like using Racial slurs.

Yes arguing over whether one console is better or not IS silly, because its all about preference (tee hee). and thus the punchline is more friendly.

The fact that im posting my thoughts on this does mean that this video is effective at being a conversation starter regading the issues of ignorant language. Bravo Chris for trying. To be honest, Im usually trying to overlook the sloppy use of verbal hate in many of DeRez's skits, because the Indusrty Humour is well placed.

Nice job. I hope your hearts in the right place.

At 2:03 you can see an xbox 360 in the background. *Tsk Tsk*

This was good but what about Daniel and his story?

De-Rez episodes are sloppy now, they already had an Xbox 360 in the background but when he gets another they break up. It might be there to make it sillier but there is a point where it is just stupid.
I did enjoy the random noises everyone made though, nemneemenemenemnem.

A clever concept - a relationship falling apart due to arguments over consoles, but the humour
wasn't readily sustained. after the 2:30 point the charm of the sketch started to wear out, as did the overly long noooooooo. However, the punchline at te end was right out of left field, and certainly funny.

While mildly offensive towards gays, the rediculousness of the plot and the clever punchline offset these foibles. If only the infantile noises from the characters weren't so damned ubiquitous over the last half!

Chris Slack, how did you know I am going through such a console-argumentative time right now!?

This video may have stopped the madness in my household...

The sequence of cuts:

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
ooooooooooooooooooooooo
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
ooooooooooooooooooooooo
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
oooooooooooooooooooooooEEEEEeeeee

Was a moment of comic genius, I thoroughly enjoyed that video and as per Drakey (or given the avatar is it Captain Phi Master of the Greek Alphabet?) I'll give the benefit of the doubt on the use of charged words.

As for the consoles argument... It always was, is and will be.

I remember kids at school 25+ years ago arguing about the merits of home computers (UK: Spectrum Vs. Commodore 64 Vs. Vic 20 Vs. etc. anyone?), and no doubt there will still be the same crappy arguments over Playstation Gen 493 Vs. XBox Gen 493 Vs. Future Console Gen 493 Vs. Google World Domination Box Gen 493 in the distant future.

Chris's point is well made, as arguments go, console arguments are a load of old cobblers.

This was a great episode imo. You have to really get the dry humor to appreciate it though. Is this the end of the de rez series? I do hope not. Things were just about to get good =)
