The work around is set your system default mic as something other than your mic (line in). Teamspeak or Ventrilo should allow you to pick your actual mic to use in their option menus. This forces the game to think you don't have a mic and use whatever you want to chat with.
I've played the PC version since September 10th (I'm Australian and therefor live in the future, so to you silly Yankies that would be September 9th), I'm currently on my second playthrough and my character is level 40 and according to steam I've already managed to get 47 hours played (yeah, this week has been FAAAAAAAAR from eventful). I've never run into a single bug. I'm going to have to assume that my sheer amazingness has caused the game to get its shit into line just to impress me.
I've had a problem with the DLC for it. I got a code from playstation home to get a weapon (i think its the meat bait bomb thingy.) but every time i put it in, it just won't work. Any suggestions? I've told Sony about it, but they said it should work. It doesn't matter much, but i did put a lot of work into getting it...
No spoilers needed, as they aren't really going to spoil it.
One of them is the arena DLC, which was supposed to be released with the game. It brings out 4 arenas for Black ops style zombie fighting, just with melee instead. And better. Also, all money and EXP (and i think any weapons you make as well) are carried over into the main game.
The other is a DLC called Ryder White campaign. He's a guy who come up later in the game
He's the guy who informs Sinamoi that you are immune, and he's the guy in the prison
and the DLC may let you either play as him in the area he's at, of through the whole game and he might have another skill set that the others don't. I'm not sure, but it's mentioned in the extras on the main menu.
They might also be releasing other weapons and such, like the ripper mod, which i think is being released to people who didn't preorder it, and other special mods/weapons.
Or Bethesda.
They're usually the ones to try and get people to buy DLC for a game that doesn't work. They're one of the main reasons I don't buy games at launch anymore. I wait for all the crap like this to blow over... then I rent.
