Dead Space's Isaac Clarke Tees Off With Tiger Woods

Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 10 apparently features an unlockable costume that will allow you to hit the links dressed as Isaac Clarke, the protagonist from sci-fi survival horror Dead Space.

Making fun of golfing attire has long been a staple of cartoonists everywhere: Maybe it's the dorky checkered sweater-vests, or the floppy berets, or the silly spiked shoes... whatever it is, some golfers look silly. Of course, they're not wearing a full suit of zero-g mining gear, either.

I'm really at a loss. I don't know what to say other than this image (and the corresponding video [http://beta.easports.com/media/play/video/6334059]) is one of the most bizarre and incongruous things I've seen in quite some time. Apparently, the suit isn't just for show, either - wearing it will unlock the "No Known Survivors" achievement, adding 35 points to your gamerscore.

You know what? It might be nice to have that suit when you're floating in a wrecked spaceship with nothing but its protective layers keeping you from cold, deadly vacuum ... but it strikes me that wearing it in the warm sun of a golf match might be really, really uncomfortable.

Maybe it has good internal air conditioning.

Thats Awesome!
It would win twice as much if all the spectators turned into Necromorphs.

Forget using that suit on the links, the golf club needs to be a weapon in the next Dead Space, preferably with Tiger Woods as an alternate playable character.

I think that's the main question. I actually liked Dead Space, but his character is far from Iconic.

Maybe it's because they are both EA games, albeit different sections of the company.

I'm with Penny Arcade on this one. They need to give golf games the Happy Gilmore treatment without the Adam Sandler. Robots, courses on volcanic courses, dinoaurs, zero gravity golf, rocket launchers, just really expand the entire game.

Rocket Launcher Golf? I'm intrigued.

'course, now that Halo 3 has the Mythic Map forge, you can actually make a giant golf course. (With rocket launchers, if you so choose.)

Still, Isaac Clarke playing golf. I like it.

True. I'm actually playing Dead Space right now, and Isaac does look pretty cool on the Ishimura, but he's just out of place here.

Could you drive a golf ball hard/fast enough to remove their limbs?

Only time will tell..
And hey, atleast it's better than what Outlaw Golf had: A bunch of middle aged men in Speedos... *Shudder*
