Let's say you somehow end up the saving the life of every top ranking Disney executive and after hearing about your love of the fandom they decide to let you create your own Star Wars video game as thanks. It was apparently a really spectacular rescue because they agree to give all the resources you'll need the freedom to create any kind of game you want. So all that being said, just what kind of game would you create?

X-Wing: Princess Squadron. Ariel, Jasmine, Belle, and the rest as a squadron of X-Wing pilots. Get the original voice actresses that are still alive, and the new official ones for the rest. The Star Wars fans would hate it, but I'd enjoy the hell out of it.

More seriously, can we just have a new X-Wing game? Please?

As much as I feel like I want to say Battlefront 3 I really think that could just be a Battlefield 3 mod. So Im gonna be a little different. I would like to do something with Teras Kasi, the force based martial arts in the expanded universe. I always found Teras Kasi fascinating and lets be honest there arent many martial arts themed adventures out there. Martial artists that can go toe to toe vs jedi/sith are just a lot cooler.

I see it as a third person game where an initiate starts at the planet where he learned to fight. Then something makes him leave the planet and head on an adventure throughout many planets. It would be an RPG/action game where you could design your own special moves and when I say RPG I mean RPG as in roleplaying game, not RPG elements like levels. I want the game to be about the protagonists story where you can design everything about them including sex, species, sexuality, religious beliefs, political beliefs, etc and still have your choices matter at the end of the game. I see it ending like all star wars games should, with you stopping a major threat to the galaxy and being awarded medals along with all the supporting cast

Make a custom bounty hunter class (you know, stealth, tank, utility, whatever) and choose bounties/political assassinations/smuggling operations as contracts. In my dreams there wouldn't even be a main storyline - it'd be more like a rogue-like, with a variety of combat areas. The gameplay would be Fallout 1 and 2 style, where you can interact with people on your missions, and where combat is carried out on a turn-based grid. Things wouldn't always go as planned though - sometimes you get attacked in your ship, sometimes the contract is a set-up with another party lying in wait for you, and sometimes your hit turns out to be a rogue Jedi.

A new X-Wing game with all the craft, battles and missions from every major era of the EU: Clone Wars, Imperial Era, and New Jedi Order. Including all of these ones at least:

X, Y, V, B and A-Wings
TIE Fighter, Interceptor, Bomber, and Defender
StealthX
Naboo Starfighter
Vulture Droid Starfighter
Millenium Falcon
Slave I/II (The Fett clan's ships)
Coralskippers
Stingcrawlers

A multiplayer that allows you to use any of these craft you've unlocked regardless of era, fighting on one side or another with several levels of bots allowed if there aren't enough humans to fill out the teams, maybe have point values lost depending on how powerful the craft you use is for balance, and when it's depleted your team can't respawn out of your home base anymore.

I lost hope after I heard they were making The Force Unleashed. I knew it wasn't what I wanted and I knew they had dropped the idea of JK4.

I postend this in a dream game thread but it fits

My dream game is an open world Star Wars game.

So the skills and character building would be like in Fallout: New Vegas. You would put points into blasters or force powers or light sabers. There would be Jetpacks because jetpacks make everything better. The skills would be, lightsabers, blasters, force powers and other stuff I can't be arsed to think about, probably stuff like speech.

You would have Force powers be like spells in Oblivion. You would learn them from Jedi(or Sith) masters. There would be a morality system('cause y'know Star Wars) and like in KotOR, it would take less power to use powers of whatever alignment you are.

I don't know what the story would be and I don't much care because I am not really making this game and it would be like every Star Wars game ever, "Oh noes, the Sith".

The setting would take place on 4 different planets(terran, desert, ice, and molten types) which can be flown between at will, either on your own, or you could book passage on another ship. There would be space combat because what Star Wars game would be complete without a ship battle. It would take place in the Old Republic because the prequels suck and I want there to be a lot of Sith and Jedi.

The weapons would be different types of blaster pistols and rifles. There would be all kinds of different lightsabers, regular, double, whips, spears and anything else on the wiki. There would also be blades, there would be very rare ones made of cortosis which shuts down lightsabers, most would have have phrick in them which can resist sabers.

There would be destructible terrain, however there would be a force power that can fix everything. That feature was a good idea in red faction because you don't want to make it impossible to progress, and you don't want to completely destroy a shop because you were protecting it from bandits.

An RPG/Tactics game possibly using a similar setup to X-Com or Valkyria Chronicles in which you are playing the crew of the smuggler ship No, Don't Put That There otherwise known as the Sally Forth. (The ship was originally registered while things were being loaded onto it and the captain was distracted when one of the loaders misplaced an item while talking to the Registrar.)

The crew...is various colors of eccentric and weird. The captain is a Republic war vet who decided to retire to a profession that earns him more pay and allows him to shoot people without being nice about it (Smuggling). The engineer is happy-go-lucky "Okay, cool!" kind of guy who speaks binary. Other people would include a snarking assassin, a battledroid who thinks he's a god, an ex-Empire scientist with the tagline "What is WRONG with you people?!", and noble with some cash and some pull who's into archaeology.

Set after the death of Palpatine when the galaxy's in a bit of chaos, these men of 'business' will stop at nothing to make a job go far from south, even at the expense of ALOT of stormtroopers.

KotOR III. Fuck that train wreck of an MMO. I'd bring in the guy who wrote the first one. Also with better combat because in retrospect the combat of the KotOR games was kinda shitty.

I actually like cover-based shooters when they're done well, so I was thinking of something like a shooter that follows a very specific character arc of a clone trooper from the earliest hours of the Clone Wars all the way up to his death during the New Jedi Order era. It would be part shooter, part political thriller, part character-based drama, and part space shooter(think like Star Fox). It would be a long-ass game, and would have a robust multiplayer component, with co-op, horde, Player vs. Player, theater, forge-type map editor, and full character customization. The multiplayer would also have a Galactic Conquest-type mode and the ideas that were supposed to be part of Battlefront 3.

So I suppose Battlefront 3, but much more polished, modernized, and with a campaign that doesn't feel like multiplayer with bots. The campaign would be more Republic Commando-esque, with you not selecting from classes but instead playing a very specific role. Multiplayer would be more diverse, with free for all, class-based, and unrestricted-team settings. Want to play a jet-trooper who is also a Sniper or Rocketeer? You got it. Cover would be like in Max Payne 3: not required, but handy when it's there.

You know, Han is the perfect character for a space-Uncharted. The guy perfectly fits the archetype that Nathan Drake has been trying to for the past half-decade, and that game could take you to some really interesting places. I'd love to see a swashbuckling adventure like that.

Apparently so, because we haven't got one in years. Rebel Assault, X-wing, Rogue Squadron. I'd take anything. Yet it seems all star wars 1313 was gonna be was GTA IV in space.

I had a similar idea, although instead of playing like Fallout it would play more like Deus Ex. Boba Fett kind of established the equipment-heavy bounty hunter and I think it would mesh well with that kind of RPG. Players could receive money and experience by completing bounties which they could spend on better skills and equipment to suit how they want to play. Depending on when it was set there could be different factions missions; players might sympathize with the Rebel Alliance and take jobs from them but odds are the Empire would pay better.

And...beat me to it.

New X-wing game. Update the controls (if needed), update the graphics for sure, perhaps update the story to include the Battle of Endor and other battles from the books, add co op for the entire campaign, make the game playable on consoles as well. Sold. Done. No more Star Wars games ever need to be made again for me...okay, so that last part's probably a lie. No more Star Wars games for me until they make X-wing even better, or Knights of the Old Republic. Or how about a Knights of the New Republic/Galactic Alliance? I'd totally love to play as (or with) Jaina.
