well you seem to be pretty sorted on the construct side of things, perhaps, some freaky execution weapons pods, you've already mentioned flamers etc, how about a monofilament launcher that drives like a high tensile wire into the victim and speedily coils around there insides then retracts reducing them to chopped liver, acid sprays disolving them into a glutinous mass, triple stage aerosol bomblets, that deploy ,mist the room or open area and then detonate (ignite) creating a drop fuel bomb, that the droid can then just walk thru unharmed whilst all bio mass is consumed? Rapid fire shuriken weapons that severe fingers limbs etc. Compressed air powered ram rod that thrusts out of palm of the hand and can penetrate any armour transfixing the victims vitals. Sound emitters reducing anyone into the vicinity into a completely powerless state, overcome by noise. switchblades secreted in the forearms that can roll over the wrist axis, dismembering a hand captured in its grasp then been used to impale the victim. As a kill bot as it were the more indistinct and androdgenous, the scarier I'd think perhaps if it were secreted in a robe of some sort, like a hooded monks habit.
.....WHADDYA WORK FOR DARPA OR SOMETHING! Needless to say you got some good ideas. As soon as I finalize a design I'll get to work on the add-ons (flamers, shurikens etc). I'm also thinking of adding a basic non-removable weapon, got any ideas. The hood thing is kinda cliche dont you think?

Actually just read the guys quote on manikins I think hes onto something there, yeah you're right hoods have been done to death already. Hmmm seeming as a basic non removable weapon, you would have to go with a minimumn of moving parts, and obviously for close combat, as in last resort essential, like a soldier and his bayonet. Probably a secreted blade, ram blades punching out of the knuckles ala wolverine have been done to death also, the sheer eviscerating effect of just over a foot of steel rolling out of a forearm on the wrist axis would make for a fearsome delivery,of course youre probably making the entire arm interchangable you could go torso mounted weapons with a fluid deliver system, ie acid, flamer etc, or the imolating energised skin, that basically electrocutes/overloads anyone/thing coming into contact with the machine. Or even a decoy like a humanoid wire droid that explodes out of the chest cavity, and wraps itself in an hologram of the droid itself, to create confusion and mayhem, allowing the droid to retreat and regroup. Mouth bourne poisoned fletchete rounds, hmm list is endless, describe what kind of effect your going for, Darpa lol, nah im just a war nerd in the army.

New idea.
A roughly femenime looking exoskeleton with two long fingers and a same sized thumb on each hand. The fingers and thumbs could be splayed out and then spin to produce a deadly rotor weapon. This could also apply to the feet to enable the robot to fly.

I dont really know. the forearms are going to be interchangable so the the torso would be the ideal spot for an onboard weapon. The thing about this robot is, as soon as word get out that so much as one is on the street you know someone has done something pretty big. The bot is basically a message "break our laws and this will happen to you". Something unpleasant and unnerving.
I still dont follow this manikin business.

Without the rotor business that actually sounds like a good idea from a purely visual standpoint

hmmm well an explosive delivery would be the go, chest cavity exploding out like a claymore, spraying the individual with what ever kind of nastiness takes your fancy, plastiscised fletchetes (unable to be seen on x-rays), acids, napalm, alloy ball bearings ,kinda like the double barrel shotgun of your worst night mare. Explosive bomblets, Some kind of neuro toxin slime that renders them a vegetable, a cloud of ignited magnesium and phosphour, shaped charge (super heated copper alloy jet) anything really. After all your only limited by your own imagination, all that shit i've pretty much mentioned in this paragraph is off the shelf one way or the other. Actually an idea I just had fusing two new tech ideas, a cloud of smart dots, seeding the individual with a time delayed spray of transferable dust motes, nano machines if you will, that at a timed release or on instruction can go into a effect consuming the individual and anyone they come into contact with (their homres they flee to), like a chain reaction. And then they simply go inert after they have consumed transfer targets as well as seeded character.

Have the left arm turn into a chain gun.

I also think that a sharp chin with a single eye in the center of the face that rotates 360 degrees could be a little creepy.

I like your style!
Thank you. If you make the eye green it might make it seem less evil which will just make it better when it kills people.

Nah, killer robots as a rule aren't that cunning.

Here a bit of an update. I changed the feet which before were like the prosthetics you saw runners in the paralympics wear, to more developed feet and mock heels. I also beefed up the chest to make it more androgynous. I also took wilfy's idea and gave it more developed hands. Sensors on the chest basically measure distance and number of targets before it to properly calibrate and explosive charge in a cavity in its torso which launches a blob of napalm jelly coated in a resin. The resin breaks as soon as it make contact burning and immobilizing the target

as well as the practical weapons, there should be some horrifying torture/execution device that can deploy from the chest or something - think scalpels/drills/buzz saws/flesh hooks/anything else horrifying. I'm envisioning the thing holding someone in a bear hug whilst a large drill proceeds to bury itself in their face (Que fountains of gore etc)

I'd say make a bunch of sharp minibots that connect to each other and operate like a frag grenade - fly in every direction to attack everything in the vicinity then reassemble

Yeah I didn't actually want to sleep tonight, where it that from?

make the robot look like a grandmother, I dare anyone to be able to fight back against Nanny Julia, or Nanny Roberts, or Nanny Lee, or Nanny... you get the point hopefully?

Come on, if a walking death tank of doom that looked like my grandmother came to kill me, I'd die on the spot, since I know i'd be easier than creating the willpower to hit my own grandmother.
I'm sticking with my "grandmother" idea, no one would fight there own grandmama!

Night Watch [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0403358/]
It's actually pretty good, considering the budget and the fact that I hadn't really heard of the Russian film scene until this came to the US.

I think Omega Supreme from the Transformers is pretty scary in his own right. He's huge, can crack a mountain, and his head flips around Exorcist style to reveal a huge friggin gun. So really I would go with the flipping the head around thing.

add a couple vulcan cannons to it and possibly mount it on four legs so its like a moving gun turret with a human like center trust me even if u had the hello kitty logo on it most people would start running when the bullets start flying, also explosives lots and lots of them...... i swear that im not working on a similar project in my basment

Ohh my neighbour has that film, he keeps on trying to give it to me but I refuse saying "i'm not in the mood", i'll take him on that offer.
