In case anyone missed it, Devolver Digital heled their own E3 show once again this year. Ever since their e3 2017 show, I have always looked forward to see what was in store for each year. And just like with previous years, the show has left me with wonders.
The DD staff has killed with once again with the skits, and there was not a single moment that I wasn't smiling. Seriously, how tf did they get Shuhei Yoshida and Phill Spencer to get in on this?
As for the games they showed, here is the ist in the order of appearance and my thoughts
Shadow Warrior 3
In case you aren't the fan of the series, it looks like this will be DD's (no inuendo intended) take on Doom's chaotic unconventional fps with guns, swords, grappling hook, and tons of execution. It looks super fun
Fall Guys, released date for August 4th
I have been following this game since its announcement at E3 2019, and have been dying to play this. I could've sworn they said this was a 100-player obstacle course race and now they are saying its 60-players, but I digress, the game looks amazing
Carrion, released date for July 23rd
Just like with Fall guys, I have been following this game for quite some time. The concept of playing as a virus-like bioweapon sounds like an awesome concept. In fact, there's demo available on Steam. If you are into sci-fi and/or horror game, then I'd gurantee you'll like this game as well
Olinja
It looks to be and 8-bit 2d sidescroller, with emphasis on using magic harpoon as a weapon and to solve puzzles. There's demo for this game as well on steam.
Serious Sam 4
Looks Dope.
Devolver Expo
10/10. Free to play on Steam
Overall....
Maybe it's beacause the last show I watched were EA Play, but I ended up enjoying this one a lot. No push for political agenda, humors that actually work, and most importantly, games that look super fun to play. Well done Devolver, and see you next year!
