Diablo 3 will feature a 2 part auction house. One with in game gold. one with real life currency.

just kinda noticed i didnt think to leave my reaction.
overall i think this is normal. and probably good. as someone who played a lot of D2 over the years i think this will help with the mass duping hacking botting and third party sites that sell items. and since all the items are still in game generated not generated by blizz just to sell them i dont think it breaks the game at all.
Also on a related note i think this is a step we will most likely see more often, as another form of the micro-transactions recently discussed in the extra credit videos. and though at first i saw this as a 'selling power' situation i would go back to saying that because all the items are found by people then it is not game breaking in that sense either
