Diablo III question

Just pre-ordered the US version of Diablo 3 from Amazon however just occured to me that StarCraft 2 had region coding, something which Consoles used to have and PC didn't now it is the opposite, strange world we live in.

My question is obviously does anyone know if Diablo 3 US version will work in Australia?

A quick google search shows that Diablo 3 will be region free:

Also you know... emailing Blizzard might give you a more trustworthy answer then some sap like me who spent all of 2 minutes googling "Diablo 3 region code".

Who knows? I would figure it would have been, except with D2 (SC1 for that matter), you could just pick the one you wanted.
