Did anyone here eat Play-Doh as a kid? Or, weird crap we put in our mouths as kids.

Okay, I know it sounds like a weird question, but it came up in class today, when we were making radially and laterally symmetrical organisms with Play-Doh because my biology teacher is awesome like that.
Anyway, a lot of people apparently never ate Play-Doh as a kid, and were really weirded out by my assumption that a lot of kids did. I know, I did, and while I didn't have a lot, I'm pretty sure I liked it.

Anyone else at all? Please tell me I'm not crazy.

Oh, and for people who don't know what this stuff is, I'm talking about....

For added discussion, what other weird stuff did you eat as a kid?

Maybe in small quantities but I honestly can't remember. I just remember making bad models of animals, people and cars etc.

I've never eaten play doh, nor do I plan on eating play doh. I would have given you a look of horror just like your class did.

I think I sniffed it, figured out it didn't smell like anything I wanted to eat, and then went on playing with it.

My sister would make playdough cookies and I would eat them. You could have called me a connoisseur of playdough when I was a child.

lmao!

I was always tempted to, but thought better of it.
I did make the mistake of thinking a plate with a dollop of butter upon it was ice-cream once, at age 5. No-one should spoon that much butter into their mouth, EVER. The staff at the fancy restaurant my family was noshing at were not amused.

Similarly, my sister ate a big spoonful of Crisco once because she mistook the can for one of icing. Glad she tasted it before she made cupcakes <.<.

I once ate fly-eggs, thinking it was honey on my tree. Least tasty honey of my life.

But I never ate play-doh, that's just plain weird bro.

Nope. We used to make it at school though. It took forever to get the taste off of your hands.

In secondary school I ate a fair amount of cobalt paper, probably to get out of actually having to do the experiment. Didn't particularly taste of anything.

I was always cautious about things I put in my mouth as a kid. I didn't even chew stuff (well, maybe I did as a 1-year old, but I wouldn't remember). So yeah, you're crazy :p

Never ate play-doh before, swallowed a rock once though. It was one of those decorative rocks you can by in gift shops in certain areas, it was quite dusty so I decided to clean it off in my mouth which led to me accidentally swallowing it.

Ah, childhood.
