Obviously, most of you dont need to read any further to firmly voice your opinion. You may not know who josh gates is, and yet your saying "No. No he did not." Well let me fill you in

Josh Gates, host of SyFy show Destination Truth recently did an investigation in the mountains of Chile. He and his team went into an ancient mine, and during the investigation a camera man's foot feel trough the earth revealing a small hole, inside of which were the neatly wrapped, seemingly beheaded remains of something strange. If you want more details, watch the episode on Hulu tomorrow.

Anyway, they turned the remains over to the Chile officials, as it was not allowed to cross any borders, and then returned home, where the show states they are waiting for answers.

Aside from the obvious question about the origin of the ramains and the possibility of a hoax, i was wondering more about what Chile is going to do. Will we ever hear back from them? and if it is just a dead chicken, do you think Josh Gates will inform us of his mistake on a later episode?

I doubt it.

Why would there be alien remains in an ancient mine in Chile?
To fuck with the Scientologists?

...

Nah, I think it might just be a deformed child.

Probably. Also, I'm wondering why the camera was on the whole time.
Smells like hoax.

......yes.

It makes no sense. Why would aliens go to Chile? Why would aliens decide to die in some random mine? How did nobody find the aliens when they used to work in the mine?

Whoa, wait, what?!

Is that going to be on tonight's episode?!

...

Wait, isn't that the Star Child skull's story?
No dude, this is last weeks episode, and they go because of reports of a mummified alien being found.

Info for all: The thing they found had strange human like feet, was wearing somekind of clothing, and was still decomposing.

no dude. your clearly not up to speed with the UFO community

Nut jobs hypothesize that if Aliens are on our planet, they are either subteranean or in the ocean.

Pretend you and a team go to a strange planet, inhabitit by beings you can not sympathize with because the gap is to large.

Would you and your friends hide in a forgotten geological formation, or some man mades structure long unvisited?

And when your friend died on that planet, would you honor him with the small amount of humanity you can muster in that cave?

Dont let the low probability of the situation rob you of your common sense. Dont go out of your way to get lost just cause you disagree with the starting location.

If aliens found a nook near their landing site to live in for whatever reason, why not bury a fallen close to home? that bit makes sense right?

The mine is ancient in a biblical way. No ones implying the aliens made or work in it.

I doubt any of us are Chilean officials, so we can't really answer that.
Let us know what ends up happening though.

None of it makes sense.

Think of the many reasons aliens would go to Earth. Can you honestly think of that many legitimate reasons that would not involve contacting humans? I sure can't. If aliens are going to spend all those resources to get to our planet, you'd think they would want to do more than go die in a random mine.

Again, it seems highly unlikely that no one else would have found these aliens before considering that the alien was buried in a shallow grave.

I wasn't saying that the aliens made the mine. I was asking why nobody that worked in the mine found the aliens. But I guess the burial would have taken place after the mine was abandoned.

Too bad National Geographic already discovered these over 10 years ago:

Arriaza, Bernardo, "Chile's Chinchorro Mummies," National Geographic (March 1995), 68-88.

So where is a perfectly viable place for them to crash and burn then?

If the aliens ended up on our planet due to their ship crashing, do you really think any of them would have survived? The chances of surviving a crash from space seem slim.

And that raises the obvious question of what happened to their space ship's remains.
