Noobkillaz: "Nerf grenades"

DeathKnyte: "Grenades are fine, nerf Tyrannosaur"

In other news, awesome.

I hate to break this to you, John, but that's not a triceratops. That, sir, is a styracosaurus. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Styracosaurus
Ninja'd. Damn.

Also, this sounds fun, but yeah, demo needed badly.

Also, also, if I do play this, I'm going to have "Denver: The Last Dinosaur" playing on a loop in the background.

Just watched a 10 minute gameplay video and remain unimpressed. Some gimmicks don't get very far, unfortunately. Considering its price, I'm guessing the campaign is probably 2 hours long* and the rest of the development money went toward multiplayer where you can play as the dinosaurs. Might as well stick with Left 4 Dead at that point.

*I don't even honestly care if it's 2 hours or 5 hours or 10 hours. The 10 minute clip ensured that there is nearly 0 variety, so I got the gist as it is.
What campaign? Do you even know anything about the game... or what?

I was going to ask if this was just the Western Front, but then it occured to me what would happen if you tried to invade the USSR during winter with dinosaurs.

Sorry, but when it comes to dinosaurs, nobody gets the drop on me. I have a sixth sense about when people are mispronouncing or missattributing the names of dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures. As superpowers go, it's kind of useless.

1. $20 for an HL2 mod? Wow.

2. $20 for an HL2 mod where the dinosaurs use ripped headcrab sounds? Additional wow.

Okay, it's $18. Steam doesn't understand how currency works, so it costs 18 euros here (roughly $25).
I am pretty sure they understand currency. They use that understanding to rip you off.

I feel ya. It's like when people still refer to Apatosaurs as Brontosaurs.

I really miss free mods for games. I have fond memories of mods such as Team Fortress, Poke646, They Hunger, Afraid of Monsters, DoD, Black Ops for Quake, Soldier of Fortune for Quake 2. More power to people that get hired to make games, but it seems like the mod community really started with Doom/Build, then blossomed with Quake engine games (Quake, Half-Life, Quake 2, Quake 3) and the Unreal engine. But now it seems it's pretty much died out, there's still modders for Morrowind and Oblivion, but most games don't really have a mod scene. I can't recall the last time I saw a decent mod released for Half-Life 2, when back in the period between 2000 and 2004 a new mod was coming out for Half-Life every week.
