Dishonored on the PS3 problems

Sooooo is anyone else having problems? I tried to go into the dunwall distillery and the game just loaded and loaded and loaded... seriously just to see if anything would change, I left it going while I went to college and guess what it doesn't load, so I skip that (and the granny rags side quest chain by association...)and I just go to the overseers office (for the main quest) and it won't fucking LOAD!!!!! What the hell?! I bought the game new thought my copy was defective, traded for a new one and guess what nothing changed. So tell me fellow Escapees am I really unlucky or is the game flat out defective on PS3 right now.

Man, I avoided buying this game for this very reason. I saw it was made, published, whatever, by the same people who made Skyrim. I learned my lesson from that game on the PS3. Hopefully you're just lucky, but I feel your pain.

Did the game install anything or were there any patches already released? If so, delete you game data (game, not save data). Reinstall then try again. If that fails try restarting the game.

Installation is required, so yeah it did install data. There was a patch this morning, but I haven't had the chance to download it.

Are you positive that all the game files were installed properly? I'm playing on a PS3 and I haven't had a single problem loading at all. The longest I've ever had to wait on a load is maybe 7-10 seconds, if that.

Dont be so quick to play the blame game, arkane studios never touched skyrim

Okay here's an update, as a last ditch attempt I restarted the mission from the main menu and dun dun dun daaaa! I haven't had a problem since, doesn't erase the problems I was having though. Truthfully it is a fun game buuuuuut, be warned about its potential problems.

That?s not what I meant.

If you look at a lot of previous AAA titles, the PS3 has had the most major issues with these titles.

I mean how many threads have you seen in recent times of someone saying ?ummm Deus Ex doesn?t load properly on my 360? or ?erm Mario Galaxy is so bugged can?t collect stars.?
Etc etc etc etc etc etc.

Not everyone has these problems, and other consoles are no less susceptible. Take a look at the digital Resident Evil 6. A day 1 patch killed it so that anyone hoping to play the digital version was fucked until it got fixed. That's just one example. Just because you don't like the PS3 doesn't mean that no one else should.
