I'm with the two posts above mine. Why is it every time one of the Escapist writers finds someone's deviant art page with a bunch of Disney princess drawn in outfits other than their standard ones they feel the need to write a story about it? *checks the link* Tumblr, sorry. I mean every news publication has "slow news days", but it kinda helps if you use different kinds of stories as filler articles rather than just looking at the same thing over and over. "Disney Princesses as X!" "Now they're drawn as Y!" "BUT WAIT!!!! NOW THEY'RE DRAWN AS ZEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" It was neat the first time or two, now I'm just wondering what the Escapist writing staff's thing is for the Disney princesses. Starting to get a little creepy, to be honest. >.>

Just steal what I said in the other "news" segment: create a new forum called "Disney Dames District" and then you can put your weekly updates in there!

I had no clue who 90% of the princesses were, and the one I did recognise (Esmeralda), I didn't recognise the costume. A bit of a swing and a miss, methinks.

Heroines? Disney Female Characters more like it.

I don't know why you guys particularly care about this existing. I love seeing the artwork and appreciate it as a recurring theme.

Yeah, to be honest without the description provided I would have no idea which Princess heroine each is meant to be based on. But anyway, is there some sort of staff joke I'm not getting or do you all really love Disney Princess Mashups this much?
They really love it that much. I made a thread about the trend a week or so ago, because they keep popping up over and over. And I didn't understand the exclusivity of it. Nobody seems to link other various types of mashups, it's all just disney princess ones.

Which is fine I guess, but I'd like to see other stuff really. The disney princess thing is getting a little boring now to be honest.

I don't care that it exists, I just puzzle at the 100% disney princess thing of it. I mean if the site did a regular "Pop culture stuff mashups!" and they varied it up between different things, cool. But with it being disney princess over and over, it's sort of wearing thin on the novelty and interest aspect to me.

And yeah, the last few were hard to tell who was who. The WoW related one, while nice work, I had no clue who most of the princesses were supposed to be. The pop culture one is the same.

But yeah, something new would be nice.

Hey guys! You know how you keep asking us to stop cluttering the news section with Disney Princess fan art? Well screw you too! Have some Disney Princesses Heroines!
I'm sick to death of these motherfucking princesses in this motherfucking news section!
Just post this stuff in the Off Topic section. It belongs there.

Oh man, yeah, more mashups with more diverse combinations would be great. Disney Princes too would be cool.

Heroines would imply that they were actually heroes which isn't the case.

Hey man, take that up with the thread OP. He was the one that used that word first. Hell, looking at the artwork, I could only tell who 2 of the girls even were. Either they're really obscure Disney characters or the artist didn't do a good job of presenting the characters.

I think we're all starting to get over-saturated with these Disney princess mashups. I mean I still enjoy them, but can we please have a month where we don't have one? Maybe? Just an idea.
Good news! We're going into October, so you can look forward to getting saturated with zombie everything instead (because, apparently, no other monsters exist now).
Actually they did a monster related mashup a few months ago. Was pretty cool. Had one as an Oni, and a Naga if I recall correctly. And various other freaky monster/scary type princesses.

Wasn't disagreeing with you. Just discussing it alongside you.

I'm waiting for the link where it's "Disney Princesses as Other Disney Princesses!" And it's stuff like "See Jasmine as Belle! or see (The princess from Frozen who's name is escaping me at the moment) as (the one from Princess and the Frog)!" At that point I will laugh. xD

As mentioned, why is it always Disney Princesses?

Does-hang on.

So, hypothetically, if someone wanted to get a news article about them, they could just draw a Disney Princess and send it in or something? Is there some sort of quality control?

(Also, if they started repeating some from a year or two ago, would anyone notice?)

Please someone explain to me what is it with the Internet's obsession for "Disney heroines as [insert other pop-culture characters]".
Disney heroines as Star Wars characters.
Disney heroines as videogame characters.
Disney heroines as pop culture icons.
Disney heroines as...

I MEAN STAHP PLS.
Nonononono, we need one last before we finally put this crap out of its misery
Bare with me
Disney heroines as porn stars.

That would be perfect end to numerous childhoods

I wonder...

Edit: Nope, not happened yet. Internet I'm disappointed in you. Fix it!
