Has anyone noticed DLCs (downloadable content, for anyone with memory issues) seem to be glitchier or buggier than the base game. What mainly comes to my mind was Fallout 3: The Pitt when it was first released. For anyone lucky enough to have missed its early times let me give you a run through: Red "?"s EVERYWHERE, falling through the map, and my character literally disapeared.

Fallout 3 is probably one of the few. I dont know why Bethesda left it the way they did.

RDR and Alpha Protocol are two examples of really buggy base games though.

Fallout 3 has always been a fairly buggy game, but I never had any problems with any of the DLC. What platform were you playing them on?
Xbox 360 which probably explains most of it.

DLC doesn't seem to be any more "buggy" than the base game in general. It often just doens't seem to actually add anything to the game worth experiencing. Dragon Age demonstrates this well. Awakening is no worse in terms of bugs and it does extend the story quite well yet I just didn't care for it. Turns out, what I really liked all along was getting to know my party and other chracters - something that is more or less excised from the game.

...Strange, I played them all on 360 too. Maybe I was just lucky?
Actaully I just looked it up and it was just Bethesda was lazy at first and fixed it all with a patch later on.

Gotta disagree with you there. I never had any sort of crash whatsoever during the original, but Awakening insists on crashing frequently during boss fights. It's quite annoying when you're playing through on nightmare and you've all but won, then crash to desktop.

I played both on PC. My experience with bugs was relatively rare in both. In Origins I occasionally hit bugs where I could not execute a zone transition that forced me to reload the game and perhaps 2 CTD's over more than 100 hours of play. In the 20 hours or so I played Awakening, I had one problem where I could not trigger a certain event early on in the game that resulted in me having to play through 2/3 of the opening sequence.
