Do you have an idea for a game?

Title says it all, so here is my example:
In my opinion something that makes a good or bad game is variety. If you have to much variety, especially in an action game, you might feel over whelmed. If you have strict variety, you force the player to differ so they can't settle, so they might end up liking only one or two levels. If you have optional variety and levels that support this you can make the game stategic, challenging and fun in one move. you could have the option ,for example: to snipe, run and gun or hide all in one place. I would make a 2-D platformer with lots of charcters. the characters would act like jobs in final fantasy (leveling up, buying weapons and updrades). the graphics would be cartoony, like kirby.

So if you were to make your own game, what would it be like. style, genre, story, whatever.
Yours sincerely

No.

Not even in your own thread.

OT: Yep.

Some of you might have read it before, but what the hey:

Basically, you're an modern day assassin. Or a Sniper if you so wish.
The game start out by you seeing some guy sipping coffee.
Just to get his brains blown out!
The camera zooms though the hole in his head.
There you sit, across the road, in a sleazy hotel.
TITLESCREEN

Then the game itself starts off.
It sort of starts like Yahtzee's game: Trilby, Art Of Theft, with him having built his own training facility (tutorial)

It is mostly a sandbox game, the main story consists of phone messages you get at random times.
In the meantime you can upgrade your rifle, move to a different location so you can have more stuff, and later in the game you will be able to buy traps and trap-blueprints
If you make the traps yourself, they are cheaper, but more likely to fail.

The first mission is fairly simple, of course.
You get a name, a photo and a city in which to look (your phone is a fax, so you can get Biographies on the targets). You also get a reason why he/she is targeted.
Now, your mission is to find this person in this particular city.
You find him, stalk around, until you find a safe spot where he goes, on which you can assassinate the target in question.
Then you need to find a safe spot to do the actual killing from.
For example: an apartment across the road.
Now, here you will be given the option to either rent the apartment, or kill the current owner, the latter being more difficult, as there will be more police when the real kill is going off.
You make the shot (and don't miss, then he will notice you and call the cops on your ass).
Now, the escape.
You need to successfully smuggle your rifle out of the building, out on the street, past all cops, to your local hiding place (if you wonder why you get so lowly payed on the jobs is because you have houses in nearly 7 cities, and they're not cheap).

That is how many assassinations will go, but in some you may poison your target (apples, cakes, etc). Or maybe even gas it!

Also, if you get seen, but not captured, you get a bounty on your head.
This will make it harder to walk around, as people will sometimes recognize you, cops will react as soon as they see you, you will find it harder to rent apartments or whatever you use, etc.
It's not always apartments though, maybe the guy your hunting likes to smoke some pot at some abandoned warehouse sometimes?

LAST MISSION: Assassinate Chef of Police?
sounds great. Well... I'd play it.

Yes, I do. Think King's Quest, only now it delves into the realms of pseudobiology and bodily transformation. I have others, but lately this one's been dominating my psyche.

I REALLY need to learn how to code...

But of course, don't we all secretly?

Mine would be a stealthy game.

Wait a sec, I have it here somewhere.

EDIT: My game woud be kinda like Oblivion, with some of FO3's elements, but all the dungeons would be designed in such a way that stealth is always an option, but you're not penalized for not using it.I would make it purposefully harsh on the player, but I wouldn't make it a selling point, and I wouldn't make it unfairly [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheComputerIsACheatingBastard] harsh, I would just make the AI clever, I would just make it so they were slightly intelligent. With checkpoints a la Borderlands, and make it so that skills make alot of difference, not the usual RPG staple of "it's all about stats", and make it realistic, as in "one shot (to someone else), one kill".

I do, a survival horror, but it would be so grand in scale it would be completely unfeasible, and not to mention very expensive!

I would create...

An ironic game, no, sarcastic, no... Cynical!

Something with loads of black humour.
Something 'action/adventure/shooter'-ish.
With Quentin Tarantino style dialogues.
And an atmosphere that looks like a raped Disney universe.
With totally psychotic protagonist who has a passion for point blank executions...
And a graphical style somewhere between The Matrix, Sin City and 300.

Yeah...

Who knows... Maybe, one day...

I have been kicking around an idea of something along the lines of tower defense meets Silent Hill. Survival horror scenario, first-person perspective. The objective is to defend your house/town/family from some sort of supernatural forces. Survive the night and you win.

Maybe add a kick in the pants Night of the Living Dead ending?

Survive the night only to be mistaken as a zombie by a passing posse and shot dead

Nah, I'm not that much of a dick. I'd rather go with something a little more triumphant.

I had this idea for an FPS; bear with me here.

You start the first mission in a normal, dreary, brown-grey FPS fight (possibly set in WW2, to add to the dreariness) but there's no HUD at all, and you simply have to contribute as much as you can in the fighting before you die. You can die at any time, and once you do, the level ends. You're then resurrected in a laboratory funded by a billionaire for his own personal army or something (it could be government funded I suppose, but that seems a bit cliched) as a cyborg; anyway, you're under the effect of some drug that makes you not feel the immense pain of being turned into a half-human half-robot thing. This drug has the side-affect of making you hallucinate.

So basically you escape somehow and do some things (haven't worked that out yet) but as a cyborg you can take fuckloads of damage and use ridiculously stupid/overpowering weaponry, in stark contrast to the first level, and most FPS games (if you haven't figure out, the first level represents them). And throught the game you choose to either take more of the drug to stem the pain you suffer, or endure the pain; sounds like a moral choice system, but there is no right or wrong path. Events carry out the same way, all that changes is your perspective, due to the hallucinations; hallucinations make things seem much more fantastical and innocent than they are in reality (you know, like an LSD trip - flying unicorns and rainbows and shit).

As you can see, I haven't really thought it through. I just want an FPS where you can just jump 70 ft in the air and blow a hole in a man's chest with some kind of uber-laser, and I just thought cyborgs could do that.

And there wouldn't be regenerating health. I hate that.
