Hadn't taken a look since I was told it was 18 or older, dam legality issues! Oh well I hope the guys you pick are great, I'm sure there's plenty of talent in the realm of anime reviewing on this site.

It's a sad day when the internet turns down writing jobs because of location. "Difference in format" isn't even a good reason if you ask me. My DVD player plays disks from all regions, I'm sure most people's do.
If you needed someone to come and fix your office toilet, "North Americans only" would make loads of sense. But that's not the case and it doesn't.
I like to play loads of Japanese style games, like Samurai Warrioirs 2, Dynasty Warriors, Ninty Nine Nights, Lost Odyessy, Enchanted Arms, Kengo Zero, DMC Etc.
I love the cartoony styled graphics mainly. =]
I don't really watch too much anime, i only really like Read or Die, Spirited away, Cityhunter, Cardcaptors. =]

Hey, if anyone has cause to whine here it's me. I'm in Japan, I speak, read and write Japanese, and I'm a complete anime-otaku... and yet I'm ineligable.
Of course on the flip side I'm also such a slacker that I'm reading this post nearly a month later, so hey, maybe I'm over-qualified.

Can I write for The Escapist if I hate anime? Think about it... there's a large contingent of anime-haters out there who have to catered to too!
FREE ANIME!? HOLY SHIT! Ahem. Of the titles listed, I only know NGE and CB, so I might submit those. Of course, the thing to keep in mind with the FREE ANIME is that sometimes you will be shafted with pure shit. Might be a worthwhile gamble, though.

I want this job! I could do this but i live in the UK but I have a DVD player that plays american regional DVD's Surely i could still Apply for the job. I'd probably have to be more impressive in my reviews to stand out but fuck it thats what i call a challenge and I love a challenge.

An All region Player can be bought at any local Electronic store, So I don't understand the logic If you can do it? Do it, unless somehow the talent train Pulls in US station and says fuck you to the rest of the world.
Free anime is Free anime every nerd boy and otakus dream, even my own. So i feel extremely cheated, by this inner twist worthy of a murder mysteries novel.
I wanna know if I can still apply. At least then I can say I've given it my best shot at trying to sidestep this problem, presented to me.

Speaking of the deadline, was there an ETA on when we'd get to hear who the lucky writers are? I imagine there's a fair number of entries to sift through.
