As long as it isn't pouring, rain is good to just stand outside and take it in. If it is pouring, well I will fall asleep faster. Thunder doesn't help. But if you have a song about rain, thunder is going to be the throwing babies and swinging dead cats part. And it sounds so awesome.

I love thunder and lightning, rain annoys me, it screws with my pay tv and makes everything slippery, if I'm just walking then I like rain as long as there's little wind, I hate the wind. Rain is incredibly annoying on a metal roof. Lightning is freaking awesome.

Same here. I love watching it rain, not so much being out in it. And Thunder keeps me awake at night, so...

I have a friend, however, who is terrified of thunderstorms because - as I recently found out - an old friend of his was struck by lighting and killed on the spot right next to him.

Yesterday I was driving home at 11:30pm. There was a cool breeze and the crickets were chirping as if they were warning us of the approaching storm. The clouds above were ominus and lightning streaked across the sky like bullets. That is when I put on some Red Hot Chili Peppers and quite possibly had the most amazing drive of my life.

Sounds awesome.

Everyone I know seems to love the rain, but I hate being out in it (I don't like my clothes getting wet, my glasses fogging up, etc). I'm fine if I'm indoors, and I've never been afraid of storms - unless you count getting stuck in flash floods during monsoons in the desert where I used to live. That was always frightening, but more because the rain was so vigorous that you couldn't see out the window, the streets would immediately flood, power lines would go out and fall, and cars would be swept away down streets and through washes.

I find it to be very peaceful, almost euphoric. It's strange, but I don't mind. Rain and thunder are awesome.

I much prefer rain and thunderstorms to sunny weather, mainly because I burn easily, bright light really hurts my eyes more than most, and I find warm weather very uncomfortable.

It's relaxing. The patter of the rain, the occasional flashes. Sitting inside watching this all warm is nice and relaxing.

Rain is lovely when indoors; it makes for great cuddling weather.

I don't like being caught in the rain as much; my hair disagrees with it.

As for thunder and lightning, I can take it or leave it. No strong desire to have it around, but I'm not scared of it either.

The sound of rain hitting the ground distresses me for some reason, and i hate the sound of thunder because of sleeping downstairs in my grandmothers house in Jamaica a few years back, i was woken up by an epic thunderclap halfway through a tropical storm, needless to say, it scared the shit out of me... Plus it was pitch black too. :/

I like the rain very comforting it calms me down thunder i can take it or leave it but rain is a very calming especially when I'm outside just walking in it
