Do you refer to yourself in the third person?

I find my self referring to myself in third person plural in my thoughts. I always think 'you' or 'we' need to do something. In my mind I'm We. How about you guys?

Mr. Grey doesn't understand or appreciate the question.

Seriously? No, I can't say that I do. Well... maybe... if I'm really tired I can see myself doing that.

I don't. At least I don't think I do. Crap, now I've started thinking about my thoughts. I-I, I don't know, okay!

No, bobic never refers to himself in third person, he finds it comes off as rather pretentious

I can't remember the last time referring to yourself in third person was a good thing. Still, I don't. I sort of blog in my mind at the end of a day, reflecting on what I did but that's about it.

"We" is first person plural. "You" is second person. "They" would be third person plural. If you're calling yourself "they" you got problems.

But for random mumblings when talking to myself, I'll use damnear anything to refer to myself.

You are implying there is a 2nd one, 1, me and yours truly here then?
Sometimes, but I think that it could be a self defence mechanism of the mind to keep some thoughts at distance. But then again, you never know.

No, RMcD does not.

Hot damn, ninja'd. No surprises there. Every single person seems to have thought the same thing as RMcD.

Seriously, I don't know anyone who does. I think it'd be cool though. Nothing against third personers.

In my mind? hmm, sometimes in my mind someone is asking me a question and I answer it. I think that might be just my brain dicking around and filling time, practising social situations or whatever. I don't ask I just let my brain get on with it and then try and answer the question to the best of my abilities.

Otherwise no.

Very rarely, but I do sometimes do it. Mostly as a laugh when I say it out loud, but in my head it happens more often.
