Do you think seduction could be a form of rape?

Just kind of pondering...see, it's rape if the person doesn't want to, but sometimes, especially with younger guys, it can be almost impossible to say no, even if they don't really want to. Thoughts?

No.
Someone shouldn't be charged with rape if the "victim" specifically said yes but in their head they didn't want to. That's completely unfair.
You shouldn't have to be able to be a mind reader in order to have sex with somebody.

Personally I think you're speaking from experience and if that's the case I urge you, in all sincerity, to seek advice / help!

Well, that is one to ponder over..... but I think no. It's a bad decision on the "victims" part, but nothing more. Unless drugs or physical force is involved, not really no.

It can be in very specific situations.

Namely when younger means under-age or in the case of mental deficiencies.

Adults are expected to posses enough judgment to not be seduced against their will, this is not expected of children (legally speaking) or the mentally handicapped. Seducing a child is rape.

In other situations, no. You're expected to make rational decisions and will be held accountable for not doing so.

The individual said yes.
not rape.

Even when there seems to be an absense of choice, there is always choice. Be it to decline, to run away, to do nothing, or to oppose. It is you're feelings, morales, and obligations to the social norm that you pescribe to which creates the illusion that 'there was no choice'.

Is the seduction actually in the form of duress?

No? Then it's not rape.
"Consent" is the magic word. Someone under duress cannot give consent, because they're being forced to to give it.

Seduction might be the female version of rape. Seeing a woman's mind is stronger than the other and will put him to shame.

But then, rape traumatizes a person and is illegal. There's no law against seduction.

"impossible to say no"

Wat

No. Rape is actual forced sex, don't try to make it mean something else. Maybe you're thinking of sexual assault? (Still no.)

No, if you're over the age of consent and of sound mind then it's your own responsibility to decide whether to go in or not, plus if such a law did exist anyone who's ever had sex could be charged with rape if the "victim" suddenly decided they didn't want to do it in their head even if they didn't object in real life. As far as I know there's no-one on the planet who's so attractive or seductive that it's literally impossible to say no to them.

If the person has given express consent, aren't on drugs or seriously drunk and aren't underaged, it isn't rape. However, top tip, if the consent sounds like this, "Uh, I guess, sure, whatever," and they don't seem to be particularly engaging during the playing around, then they probably don't really want sex, and you should probably stop.

Not to be pedantic, but the "female" version of rape, is rape. Anyone of any gender/sex can rape anyone of any gender/sex. Plus, genders other than women can seduce people.

This pretty much covers everything I wanted to say.

If you find it "impossible to say no", I'd say you need to work on your decision making and self-control instead of trying to accuse others of forcing you into things.

Rape is a bit more complex than forced or violent sex. Statutory rape comes to mind. Seduction is not rape as long as both parties are willing and of age.

I've had sex when I didn't want to just because I didn't want to make a scene or be rude.

I'm not crying myself to sleep over it.

Was I raped? :p srsly?

I'm not really comfortable with the phrase "statutory rape." It doesn't feel right to use the word "rape" about completely consensual sex. I know it's not you who decided that that's what it should be called, though.

Sadly under uk law you need to have a penis to rape somebody and therefore a woman cannot rape anyone.
