Do zombies go to hell?

A friend and I were talking about zombies earlier and got on the topic of how one becomes a zombie. Clearly one has to die first, but do you pass through hell before returning as a zombie, or is the transformation immediate? Obviously I'm talking about the living dead, crawl-out-of-the-grave type zombies, not the disease-infected types.

Personally I think zombies go to hell and are rejected, thus returning to Earth in their decayed form. What do you think?

There is no hell, so no.

Hypothetically? I figure zombies wouldn't end up anywhere, as they are just moving under a viruses commands, the "soul" or true mind of the body is already dead, so then the "soul" would go where they deserve to go. From which is probably hell anyways.

That's for virus base.

Now for mystical? Lemme think on that 1.

OK, what if the "mystic" zombies, don't actually have a spirit in them, and is merely a curse of sorts. There wouldn't be a soul in the zombie, it'd just be a hunk of flesh. The soul would probably stay where it belongs.

Or, more likely it's just a case of bad joob joob's maaan. *waves mystical hands*

"When there's no more room in hell, the dead will walk the Earth"

So no, it's too crowded, hence they're here!

I think that a zombie is a zombie, and it doesn't really matter whether they were hell-bound. When a zombie is eating my brains, my first thoughts wont be "Oh, I wonder if these guys have been to the fiery depths of hell."

Well, there is that classic, "When hell is full, the dead will walk the earth" thing.
Genuine undead zombies don't contain souls anymore, so the "soul" would go to heaven/hell, while the zombie shuffles about with its corpse on earth, and rage infected/virus zombies are still alive, so the people would still be on earth.

I think that your soul goes to wherever it's headed, but your body stays and does its own thing. Or you die, and don't pass through anything, and your mind stays in your shell of a body and you witness everything happening but can't control it.

No they don't go to hell..they just stuck in purgatory with a virus stuck in their blood and brains and by feasting on enough brains they get to back into hell and their circle of residence is based upon the exact number of cerebrums and cerebellums they have consumed.

Their souls are already in the afterlife, it's their bodies that are possessed.

Of course, if it's the sort of zombie from Left 4 Dead, that would be different.

They're already in Hell.

I mean, their personal experience couldn't be much better than Hell. To be purely scientific, they have brains but they're in a state of constant hunger and their bodies are full of pain, due to being injured in numerous horrific ways. Technically they are still alive as long as the brain is functioning in some way.

If you were to believe in a soul like I do, then I'd say that being a zombie is irrelevant to where they'd go. The soul would not continue to live in the zombie, since zombies are usually post-mortem.

In any case, I don't believe in any Hell after death.

Ugh. It's a shame that this is a necessity.

Well I'd assume that they returning Hell, because if they're not returning from Hell, then Heaven must be F****CKED UP!
