I don't think level designers do procedural generation. It's the programmers that do it. It's more like programmers saying that they don't have enough money for a LD to make their levels, so they make their own LD.
I've been interested in procedural generation for a very long time. Before Spore was announced to have it. In fact my dream-game is basically a physics engine/AI system with a procedurally generated world.
PS: While I understand that Tityana and the Titans was meant to be a joke, your decency shields weren't exactly the most decent shields. In fact, they were sort of bad decency shields.
