Does a long list of DLC turn you off from the game?

The amount of DLC available isn't a consideration for me one way or another when buying a game. If I'm up in the air about a purchase, well that's what reviews are for. I understand the reasons why a developer might put out a lot of DLC and generally I'm sympathetic to them. I'd say about 70% of the games I've played through for the first time recently had no DLC whatsoever and not once did I feel like the game was "incomplete."

for me it depends on how long it takes for the DLC to come up. for example the Fallout series for the DLC it took a couple months for one DLC to come up, and it took a year later (Sep 20,1011) for the final DLC . for me it seem a reasonable time, but for games to bring up DLC one day later (Mass Effect 3) or like you said it took 3 months for a long list of DLC. the game becomes NO for me.
