I was looking to get this PS3 one because I wanted to play on a TV and the controls are better because Sands of Time on PC has an issue with Diagonal inputs with a gamepad.
If you also have the PS2 originals, you could consider playing them through the PCSX2 emulator.
It takes some fiddling with the plugins, but you can run the games at higher resolutions than the HD collection, and add stuff like anti-aliasing and texture filtering, while retaining the original controls. You can even set it up to work with your PS3 controller (or PS4/360/Xb1). And in case you're wondering, no, you don't need a high-end rig for it, a 5 year old mid-range gaming pc should already be enough so long as you don't exaggerate the upscaling.
Or if you have a phat PS3, you can play the through backwards compatibility. No HD, but still proper controls.
