Does anyone have the PS3 HD Collection of the Prince of Persia Trilogy?

I ask because I am thinking of getting it. And I wanna know if any long time PS3 owner here who has one, if the HD Port is any good? Because not all these HD Collections were done well like Silent Hill HD Collection and Splinter Cell from what I heard.

Don't own it, but iirc, it wasn't great. Bugs, freezes, graphical and audio glitches, worse performance than the originals in some areas.

Then sticking with my PC versions then.

I was looking to get this PS3 one because I wanted to play on a TV and the controls are better because Sands of Time on PC has an issue with Diagonal inputs with a gamepad.

If you also have the PS2 originals, you could consider playing them through the PCSX2 emulator.

It takes some fiddling with the plugins, but you can run the games at higher resolutions than the HD collection, and add stuff like anti-aliasing and texture filtering, while retaining the original controls. You can even set it up to work with your PS3 controller (or PS4/360/Xb1). And in case you're wondering, no, you don't need a high-end rig for it, a 5 year old mid-range gaming pc should already be enough so long as you don't exaggerate the upscaling.

Or if you have a phat PS3, you can play the through backwards compatibility. No HD, but still proper controls.

This is probably in the wrong section.

Plus you'd get more bites in Gaming Discussion

I got it, but it's been a long time since I played it and then stopped. I finished the original long time ago at a friend's house (when the cover box still had "Only in XBOX"), and I can say it's fine as a port.

I got the hd collection through the playstation store rather than physical copy, I honestly found it to be very good and faithful - just an upscaled ps2 game really. I couldn't play PoP on PC because of this strange fog effect that made it impossible to see, like Persia had suddenly become silent hill.

I'm pretty sure the HD trilogy is on PSN for some absurd low price like ?8.99
