I don't like it as much as when I was a kid obviously, but it doesn't bother me really either. And since when does snow cancel work?
LOL well I don't know to be honest man, but it's cancelled college for me.

Why oh why won't it melt?!

Actually, I quite like the snow, my real issue is that all anyone has been able to talk about for the last week or so is snow, ice and variants thereof. *weeps*

I've only seen snow 2 times in my life, and i think its fun to play with, but i wouldn't want to live with it. Sort of like a hooker.

I'm 34 & I still love snow. (Fluffy stuff is useless though.) The rare snow storm that shuts down the town is like an unenxpected holiday. Slow, peaceful, and better yet--no family. :p

Once every few years I end up making a 7' snowman. I don't mind shoveling it. I love driving in it. Normally, driving is so boring. With snow & ice it's so much more fun & interesting. All it takes is a good estimation of the worst possible scenario, (i.e. if I start skidding, how far could I go, & what might I hit,) maintaining a safe distance from everything, and knowing how to come out of a skid & regain control.

And before anyone starts hating me, keep in mind no matter how much I (or anyone) enjoy snow, I don't have the power to make it snow more. My enjoyment doesn't mean you have to endure it more.

It was fun for awhile, especially seeing that it came during Christmas, but now its not EVEN snow. Its just powdery ice if anything and the ice makes all my town's pavements death traps waiting to happen.

BNut otherwise I still love the snow regardless :3

I hate the snow, it's cold and in the way. The only thing good about it is that I get a week off School because of it

Don't have to go to college which is great AND I don't have to see people who annoy the fuck out of me.

It's mixed for me.

Here in The Netherlands it doesn't usually snow so much as it did this winter, so the government was caught of guard. They had some problems keeping the main roads open but we manage. (Only like 10 cm snow max here, we have uberfail infrastructure for snow it seems).
They were nice enough to snowplow the bicycle lanes near my home so i can cycle up and down school and work without much danger.

Now the positive things: Having a wonderfully white world is ofcourse nice, but the main thing is that I work in a greenhouse which 'grows' (dunno how to say it) roses. The greenhouse heating can't keep up with the cold temperatures outside, so temperature in the greenhouse drops dramatically - and thus the roses grow less fast -> less work -> earlier done with work -> earlier home!

Still? I've always loved snow.

It can be an annoyance if I have to suddenly get somewhere.. but its fun more than anything.

This winter I completely lost my love for snow. Every time I go to school I have to walk this long ass straight street where cars come at my direction and they blow the cold wind on my face like fuck. Freaking hate snow. I want my global warming back.

I usually like it, as we don't get much of it where i live, and it usually goes fairly quickly, but now its just annoying

...yes? I mean, shoveling it is a pain, but it gets me out of school. And I can throw it at people.

I like looking at snow. I'm all for that. As for falling in it, no. It hurts. The huge bruise on my leg backs me up on this.

I am so tired of hearing about snow. Its all i see on tv, all i see in the paper, and all i see when i look outside.
Its fine for a day or two, but not when its a total Ice Age to the point where the government are actually terrified of the risks that are now occuring. So far my mate and my nana have just lost power to their street only 20mins ago, not to mention several other areas. Our lights etc flickered but so far no power cut, but its due soon. All round the UK is facing power and gas failure due to the overload that this weather is bringing. Already there have been over 6 deaths so far (if not more since this morning).
I have pets to consider if power and gas go off. Wednesday night we had no gas after it was turned off due to suspected carbon monoxide, we only got it turned back on yesterday morning. But we've already tasted what it will be like to have no heating. If the electric goes also then we can't even use the portable heaters that were supplied to us. In other words, me, my pets and my mum are screwed. My mum is disabled and requires the heating and gas to keep her joints working, if the cold gets to them too much she risks being unable to move around at all. Obviously i will be cut off from my friends and of course the Escapist etc if the power goes because i won't be able to use my laptop (then again, neither will many others).

SNOW SUCKS! and those who still love it and find it amusing, i hope to god you start getting some of these types of problems just so that you can realise just how uncool snow actually is when its contiued for so long. Strangly, the soft white stuff is one of the most dangerous weathers you can get. My window is now leaking water, i have giant ice "thorns" outside my window (pics are on facebook though you can't see them unless you add me as a friend--Sarah Wilson), and my entire window pane wallpaper and paint is peeling off and gathering the damp because of the snow getting in. It's rediculous.

Also, for those who think that its fun just because school's are out etc, if you look at it in the long term, your work is being affected, yes its not your fault, but sadly it will still effect your overall grades if you can't get work done. Thankfully i was back into college today and loved it. Yes i was numb and cold but hey i was with my lad in a warm classroom. Now i have work to do out of college for my assignments and believe me im intending on doing them so that my work doesnt fail thanks to the snow. Already two of my assignments have to be extended so that the teacher can help us since this week they couldn't, now that means time taken off our next assignment else more then 4 assignments on the go all at once which is definately not fun.

My views on snow are the same as my views on Adolf Hitler: It/He's really annoying, isn't good for anything, and I'm fed up with the kind of people who say that the beauty of its/his white colour makes up for anything. The less I see of him/it, the better.
