Does Keanu date people?

Random topic, but I was just thinking, after all the recent buzz with Keanu's resurgence in the pop culture sphere, that I couldn't recall him dating anyone.

I know he's a very private guy, and I know about his previous girlfriend and the tragedy involved in that.

And I don't follow tabloid stuff, but I just sat and thought, "Can I even recall a random thumbnail saying something like *Keanu seen with Insert Name, or someone breaking up with him* etc", and I am drawing a complete blank.

Has he just been bacheloring it up ever since the 90s when his girlfriend died? Or has he just found some way to date people and somehow avoid the paparazzi entirely?

Or did I just completely miss all of those things, because I never pay them attention?

I vaguely recall a rumor about him dating a transgender model at some point. But that's basically just that, a baseless rumor. I imagine he tries to keep these things out of the public eye. Can't blame him, I'd do the same if I was in his place. I wouldn't be comfortable having pictures of myself and my partner in public media. I'd try my best to keep that to a minimus.

On that note, it's also something that people like to bring up with Seth McFarlane. Might also be the reason why people theorize he might be gay, though I think it's also said he had something going with Charlize Theron once. Anyway, it doesn't matter, if they don't wanna be public about these things it's none of our business.

I don't think Keanu Reeves could date someone without the paparazzi and gossip mills noticing. They are just too thorough.

That said, celebrities who want to keep their private lives private can be remarkably effective at it. Helps when one of the two isn't a celebrity themselves. They'll occasionally get snapped out and all, but its scandal and rumour that really sells gossip, and if they want to keep a lid on that then attention will be minimal. A lot of celebrities invite a certain amount of press attention because it's form of marketing.

I know it doesn't matter, and I don't care either way, it's just odd for someone who has been that present in pop culture, and blown up so hugely so recently, to not have stuff like that getting out in the media. And despite celebs trying to keep things low key, the pappz don't care, and will still find out most of the time. Hence why I was puzzled, as it seemed unlikely they would just "miss" him having an SO over the years, especially recently. And it's not like he has zero social presence. The internet is loaded with footage of people encountering him in everyday situations all over. It's part of his charm, his "he's just a guy" persona. Which if he is "just a guy", which I think he is, it seems odd that people would miss catching shots of him with an SO of some kind. I mean yeah maybe it's pure luck that they keep missing him. But when people are posting shots of him on the subway, and other incredibly random/normal situations, it seems like "we saw Keanu on a date" would be in the mix too.

He always comes across as pretty introverted to me so I think he probably prefers to spend whatever free time he has by his lonesome to recharge instead of dating whatever chick he wants. He also comes across as really kind and also chill not caring that much about fame or fortune or validation. By now you can probably conclude he's happy that way. Not wanting a relationship isn't always an excuse, sometimes it really is a choice. xD
