Does Torterra learn Earthquake upon evolving? (Independent of what level Grotle actually evolves at)

Yeah, I know this is a question about Pokemon, I just really didn't know any other forum to post on and I didn't feel like registering somewhere else.

SO, I know Torterra learns Earthquake once it evolves from Grotle at level 32, but does it have to be level 32, or does it not matter? For instance, can I wait to evolve Grotle at 46 (after just evolving from Turtwig at 45 since they both have the same move learnset) so that when I do evolve Grotle, Torterra will have all of his moves at a lower level, but once I evolve him to Torterra, he learns Earthquake upon evolution.

I know this does occur with Woodhammer, I am just unsure about Earthquake and I don't want to go through with my plan, and then have him miss out on Earthquake.

Thanks for your help.

Pokemon learn moves at a fixed level, and I can't think of any that learn moves based on specific requirements. Evolving Grotle at a later level will make Torterra lose the ability to learn Earthquake naturally. Of course, you can find this information over at Serebii [http://serebii.net/].

However, there's an easy way around this while playing DPPt. If you have a Heart Scale, give it to the Move Tutor once your Grotle evolves, and teach it Earthquake that way. Problem solved, and you don't need to burn the Earthquake TM on a Ground type!

Thanks :D
I actually prefer Bulbapedia over Serebii. But thank you! I was just uncertain. Wonderful Idea too with the Heartscales, I never previously used them, but this now gives me soooo many more options.
