Just wanted to evangelize and get more people into this series after learning about this old news. Dorohedoro is a black-humor mystery manga set in a post-apocalyptic world ruled by magic. Its a charming series while being super original in terms of presentation and plot. Its super gory so its kind of a miracle this got green lit.
They had to clean up the Mangaka's style to animate so you cant quite see it but her style is super grungy and dirty in a fun way. Think Akira but heavily inspired by punk zine art. If I piqued your interest be warned it has a very unconventional plot structure that might be off putting to those who like more traditional narratives.
