(Hey look, a DA2 thread that isn't hating on the game)

*Cough*

Anyway, for awhile now the only achievement left for me to earn is Unstoppable (Completed a full year in Kirkwall without any party member being knocked unconscious). The basic rules that apply to it are: you can reload from a previous save if someone falls and injuries don't count. Strategy guides say to try in act three which is the shortest act so after I go all through act three carefully watching peoples' health bars............ no achievement. Many people have gotten it during act one, and some during act two but I don't think anyone has gotten it from act three, leading people to believe that the achievement is bugged or act three isn't counted as a full year. I guess I'll need to try again in act one. Damn.

So for those who have gotten this achievement/trophy, what act did you get it in?

I got it in Act 1. I know some of the achievements weren't firing properly. Patch 1.03 (1.02 on consoles) should have resolved those issues. You may want to try firing up the game again and replaying the ending with the patch installed to see if that works. If not...perhaps you got a knock-out without realizing it?

I know the strategy guide says to go for it in Act 3, but honestly I think the first Act is the easiest to nab this one. There are no secret bosses yet, so the battles are much more manageable (I'm looking at you High Dragon). Plus, the patch rebalances the combat to make things even easier. The only time the first Act might give you a spot of trouble is on nightmare in the very beginning where you have few abilities.

The act where Dragon Age 2 sucks.
Nothing relevant to add to the topic? Well at least the value of your post reflects your maturity level; 0.

I tried for the 'cheevo after 1.02 came out and I absolutely made sure that nobody was knocked out. I'm pretty sure you just can't get it in act three.

Well, I tried to get it in the first act, did it without dying, but it didn't pop. So I ended up going for it on act 2 as well. It finally popped at the end of act 2. Mind you that was when the game was first released, before any patches to fix achievement issues had been released. I haven't played it since those patches came. Although really I need to. Because of a bug, you couldn't get ANY of the DLC achievements on the 360 version of the game, even despite doing the required thing, so sometime I've gotta go through the game again for those. >.>

Yeah, it really annoyed me that you couldn't get any of the Exiled Prince achievements at first. It works now though.

Another resource for you to try is the BSN. A lot of the achievement issues and ways to work around them have been addressed by fans and the devs themselves. http://social.bioware.com/

Act 1. Did it on my second playthrough by just setting the game to the easiest difficulty and playing normally.
